amsterdams sposed to be pretty hip, street artists, musicians..nice relaxed place man, i can digg that
Amsterdam ain't what it used to be not by a long shot. You see, its changed more socially and culturally in the last seven years then it has in the previous 30 years. This means the city has become far-more socially Conservative. And I'll be happy to trade experience for youth any day.
well in A'dam you can walk around in the streets with a nice big blunt in your hand, and the parks are always nice when it's hot in the summer...
Amsterdam sounds pretty damn cool, but I can see it changing a lot recently without even being there before. We1 - My: Youth. Your: Experience. Deal?
I think I was born in the wrong age too, or maybe had a past life. I've played colonial field music since 15 (Yorktown Fifes and Drums), and whenever I'm in Yorktown, Jamestown and mostly Williamsburg, I feel like I'm at home and I should have been alive in the 18th century. Whenever I'm performing, which our uniforms consist of the red Regimental coats, tricorns, breeches and all, I feel so comfortable and like it's supposed to be. Or maybe I'm just a big nerd.
I feel like I was meant to be in Roman times. Around 200 AD. Shit was good back then. Gladiator matches, Egyptian women left and right, my emperors were much more perverted then me.. Yeah.
You weren't born in the wrong age. We just need another revolution. Perhaps this generation can out-hippie that the original hippies. Or maybe I'm just dreaming.
I used to think I was born in the wrong age too but I realized thats just not true. In the 60's I would have just been another hippie with a drug problem. Now I am someone with an "original" idea and I am teaching my friends to live more peacefully and love their world more. Starting my own revolution.
Nobody's born in the wrong age, Amsterdam is like 2009 at the moment, you can live between the laws in any age and about fitting in: hippies didn't fit in neither so what are you talking about! :cheers2:
