what's it like? it sounds kinda like fun, but i'd rather not if it's nasty and addictive.

and that's great that you quit, and may you steer clear of addictions of any kind.

    its fucked,
you do it once, its ok, so you do it again, then you wanna do it again, then whenever you think about it you can taste it and smell it and really want it, people say it doesnt have a smell, but it does when your addicted, and whenever you do try to quit, you end up going back to it, but I broke that habit, and am happy about it, I was up for 4 days at a time then have a day or 2 without it and sleep, then do it again, its shitty.

I was/am addicted to weed, it took getting caught and going on probation for me to realize it, I am going clean now becaue jail time for testing positive doesnt seem like a fair trade to me, I am kinda glad it happened, I'm still gonna smoke when I get off but I am definitely changing the way I go about using the plant

My mom died of a meth overdose nearly five years ago. If you want to lose everything and put your family through hell and back, I encourange you to do it.

I was into doing drugs for fun before she died...now I won't touch anything. I see how dangerous all of it is. One thing leads to another, leads to another, leads to another. She used to be in with some motorcycle gangs. Where are all those guys after five years? Either dead, in jail, or in homeless shelters.

It makes me sad to read all these posts about people doing any kind of drug just for the fun of it...because I've seen first hand what it can do to people and their families.

In the last year 3 members (1 aunt, 2 uncles) Died from complications of being an alcholic... It keeps me in line.. I dont want to go like that...

i lost an aunt to crack. she didn't die, but she stole my sisters car and abandoned her in the shittiest area around. we haven't heard from her since november second. I still want to try a few things, but never crack. meth probably isn't such a good idea either.

    i'd just like to say...

not all drugs lead to ruin and not all people who do drugs lose control or ruin their lives. it's all relitive. i think it's all about the type of person you are to begin with.

    and to make it fair...

a few days ago, i found out that my godfather died of a meth overdose instead of a heartattack (wich is what the rest of the family thinks).

My mother was one of the strongest, most independent people I've ever known...not the type of person that would get addicted and get irresponsible. If someone as strong as my mother ruined her life with drugs...I think anyone can.

no drug can ruin your life if you use it responsibley. i know i dont have much will power so im never doing anything other then weed and shrooms. i tried E once and it was all i coudl think about for the next week, how great E was, i wish had some E etc. i realized holy shit im not physically addicted but am mentally. to the guy that said he is/was addicted to weed many people would disagree and bitch you out for that but i can see where your coming from, it becomes a habit, jsut like how i cant stop biting my nails. i stole 200$ from my moms ATM account last year to pay for weed and got caught for it, over the next 6 motnhs of sleeping on my parents bedroom floor i realized i had to switch around my priorities...

Meth is hard one to kick. its the only one I ever had to try an kick. it had me around the throat. smacking me into everything, making me hurt, making me suffer for a few years. I am much better now. and the sad thing is, every so often the urge comes back. I have good friends and family and have fought it off, and am a much happier man for it.
Congradulations on you achievement. Please continue to never use it again. its best for you and those that love you.

no, people are wired differant. some people have the will power to kick habits, some people cant. but its not black or white, there are so many variables you have to take into account..
