They have a Singer FUtura too but I have been having problems with singers lately so I think I am gonna go for the Brother this time!!
Wowza, that's alot of stitches...not to mention those designs. I thought those machines would cost much more than that.
I am gonna go look at it tonight. I looked into industrial ones but I cant put $8,000 into a machine right now =)
That looks nice. Here's the one I've been looking at. It doesn't do embriodery though. Euro-Pro #9125 It's about $450 Metal construction and gears 503 built-in patterns, including 23 utility, 14 buttonhole and bar-tack, 124 decorative, 14 cross stitches, 33 satin stitches and more 10 creative feet - zipper foot, button sewing foot, cording foot, overcasting foot, straight stitch quilting, darning/embroidering blind stitch foot, satin stitch foot, gathering foot, buttonhole foot and snap-on zigzag foot 78-page instruction manual with illustrations Variable speed control, needle positions, stitch width and length It has mixed reviews so I just keep looking at it and wondering.
i have looked at a euro pro too, they have them at target now, i think the model is the SHARK, it does monogramming and stuff for about $300
I remember those places called target. ... I live in hobunk nowhere... I miss civilization. Maybe I'll treck back out in search of sewing machine.
Why don't you go on ebay look for machines there? You know there will be some pretty nice ones for pretty cheap, they always get you on the shipping though...Just a thought, since I've read you use ebay frequently...Instead of dishing money out into a huge chain that cares nothing about human life, why not try a small fabric store or maybe a small seller on ebay? Hey is that one of those embroidery machines where you can program a dsign into it... so you draw a design and it sews it for you?? ...we used to have one at school.
The one I wanted on ebay is up to $400 now, so may as well buy it in town then wait for it to ship. I need something rather quickly since my machine is broken i havent been able to pay my internet bill LOL
You need to buy something called a Magic Box or an Amazing Box..you can save the designs to a disk that goes into the side of the machine. To draw up your own designs, you need to buy a digitizer. These things are all seperate. I have been embroidering for a few years now and it def isn't a cheap craft to get in to. Even the thread is expensive.
Cre: Do you have a dedicated embriodery machine or do you use your embriodery machine to sew also? I'm wonder bc/s my bf's mom wants to get into embriodery and she's trying to decide if she should trade in her current machine for an upgrade or just wait a while to get an embriodery machine just to use for embriodering.
Very nice machine Funkyphresh! on tuesday I have the last exam and after it my parents promised me to buy sew machine. I hope it will be singer, with overlook.
