Actually, those extention braids things are pretty funky, too. But it probably takes more effort than just covering your head in a wig.

Do you have one of those blow drying hair brushes? They work great, it's like styling and drying your hair both at once, so it's a lot faster.

Most of the time I just let my hair air dry if I'm going to be pulling it back in a ponytail, braids, or a bun, but when I want to wear it down, I use the blow drying brush. Makes it look a lot fuller that way.

i have never seen one, but sounds like something i should invest in... my hair is only shoulder length, i usually keep it pretty short because it gets so yuck, and it's quite dry at the moment from dyeing and wearing hairties when its wet...im going to put some blonde highlights in tonight or tomorrow morning...

 

I used to dye my hair constantly. I haven't touched it for over 6 years, except for the occasional Natural Instincts color that washes out in 24 shampoos. But even that I only do about once or twice a year, if that.

I used to be a platinum blonde, if you can believe that! I was a strawberry blonde as a child, but as I got older, it got darker and darker. So, I wanted to make it light again, but I got carried away and had it almost white. Except because I have so much red undertones in my hair, I had to constantly dye it to keep it looking super blonde, and it was KILLING my hair. So finally I had enough, died it back to as close as my natural hair color that I could, and then just let it do it's own thing.

yeah i think natural is the best...i have a lot of regrowth at the moment..im just putting a few highlights so it looks more uplifting and summery!
