That's just peachy...Like we need more cats! The strays outside just had two separate litters and only one survived of the first litter (other two got too friendly with car tires, apparently), but there's 4 or 5 in the second. And what's even worse is Baby is an inside cat and the only male cats she's been in contact with have been her two brothers. So they're going to be retarded babies at that.
Bob Barker can stick it up his ass if he isn't willing to pay for me to get them fixed. $150 at least! I don't EVER have that much money at a time that doesn't go to bills.
i don't know if there's one near you, but they have places that do it super cheap... like one day a week they open up for spaying and one day for neutering, and you bring the cat in any time during the day. my mom has a barn cat that she got spayed through one of those places for like $35 i think (well it ended up being $70 because you have to pay a day in advance and the cat disappeared the first time she tried to take it in).
Not around here. I live right outside of a town with ONE streetlight, the pound won't take our cats because we live in a private association outside of town. The closest ASPCA is an hour away, I'm not taking my cats in the car anywhere for an hour, not to mention it still is like $70 a pop to get them fixed there.
oh don't tell me about small towns... i think the place my mom took her cat was about 45 minutes away; that's just to be expected if you want anything more than the basic services... if you're saving $80 per cat, it seems like it would be worth it to box them up and use the $10 worth of gas it takes to get there
The pound helps people get their animals fixed around here for pretty cheap. Maybe if you talked to one of them? Just tell them that she is a stray and you want to get her fixed so you can keep her.
neither of you? so do you both rely on friends to get to work? i'm surprised i hadn't realized that, i'm pretty sure i remember you saying something about it before, now that you mention it...
I rely on my parents mostly to get to work...they don't mind because they get to see me, it works out well for all concerned, and Daniel is self-employed, but things are looking kinda down in that lately...his only client decided he's going to shirk the $900 he owes us. We own 4 cars between the two of us and none of them run. Daniel is great with cars, but it costs too much to get any of them running and legal. He doesn't have a job outside of the house because of the lack of a car and lack of employment opportunities. We're drawing up a business plan right now, if we can get a guy we know interested in investing, and we're going to buy (well, rich investy guy will help us buy) the hardware store across from Dairy Queen and sell the hardware stuff up front and a computer repair shop in back. Right now it's just us scraping by until we can find an opportunity to bring in a little more cash so we can get a car and so on...
i see... have you considered selling some of the non-working cars for some money to fix up one of them?
My cat just gave birth to 3 kittens about a month ago, my advice is just start trying to find people to take them right now. For the 1st month or so the kittens are freakin awesome though as long as you know you have some place to send them eventually.
incorporate so you are not personally responsible for any loans. you won't own the assets, but you won't personally own the risk, corporate bankruptcy is much easier to walk away from personally than personal bankruptcy.
