Just RELAX and enjoy it. The age of sexual consent here in the UK is 16. That is because this is viewed as the age at which we are able to make the right choice. I think BECAUSE there genuinely IS a problem with paedophiles people have over-reacted...and of course if this girl was 14 rather than 16, i would be more cautious. But those years make a huge difference, that is a vital time for girls where they switch from girls to women. I do hope people wake up soon, and sort the real threats from the innocent

16 and 20 isn't exactly an atrocious age difference.
Make sure her dad knows about you. If he doesn't approve of ya'll dating, just stay friends until he does.... because her having ot hide the relationship from her family will add a degree of strife and stress that you do not want to deal with, believe me.

She is 16 and there is distance between you two-those two things present a problem. Her age isn't necessarily the problem, as far as "jail bait" goes but rather so that when girls are 16 they change their minds a lot. You add in a bit of distance and there could really be room for trouble. Of course everything could work out peachy keen, but I wouldn't put my money on it...

Dont think Im landing hard on you...its just that back when my daughters were 16...I wouldnt dream of a 20 year old being their boyfriend...a 16 year old girl still has a lot of living to do ..she should be having fun..not worrying over a boyfriend.

Any 16 year old chick is gonna worry in one way or another about her bf, regardless of his age, and it's not like you can ban 16 year olds from dating - they'll just end up lying about it. My friend did in high school, her parents still don't know that she had a bf before her current one, nor that her current beau and her lived together when they were living two hours south of here to work during the summer. *shrugs* Teenagers lie about that shit all the time.
