Shaba - are you quitting to get away from the caffeine? If so, have you also cut out tea and chocolate? I think it's great that you're aiming to cut it out, but keep in mind that studies have shown that there are benefits to having the occasional cup o' joe. Just like red wine, in moderation, coffee can help build up antioxidants that protect against heart disease...and if you eat animal products of any kind, that's a good thing to protect against! :) Best of luck to you in your journey to quit though!

I had to quit drinking coffee due to a heart condition and holy hell, it was the most miserable experience I've gone through. I first started drinking coffee when I was about 8 and I always took it black. Eventually when I started making money I graduated to triple tall mochas... which if you drink coffee, you understand how concentrated that is. I quit cold turkey and my heart really got screwed up for a while and I was always pissy. But I'm good to go now, though I will never get over my craving for a nice, hot, tasty, steamy, creamy mocha.
