I Quit my job at the Gas station.... (my part time job) No more dealing with stupid Customers Getting up at 5:30 on sunday morning Gambling all my money away Im so Happy.. Ive worked there for 6 years and Now I will have weekends again
I use to work at a gas station. He was pretty cool for paying me $7 an hour under the table. I was only 16 at the time too.
see you are what I would condcider a Stupid Customer... Now I dont have to deal with people like you Anymore!!!!
People would be amazed at how stupid people are... If you never worked with the public then you have no idea... My favorite situations.... Someone will ask for gas and they dont know what pump their on... and they will say the "White car" there are 3 other "White cars" Out there... Pick one!!!!! Grrrrrrr... Thank you...
No I was really good at catching kids stealing.... I would hid behind the deli... So you couldnt see me and watch you....
I hate working with the public. That why I liked working in kitchens, but then you hafta deal with servers and they are worse! But atleast I could yell at em.
I wouldn't call that stupid, just unaware of your surroundings. If that's the extent of the "stupidity" you experienced than you really don't have much patience. I don't see things like that as a big deal or see comments like that as an indicator of intelligence. Its unfair to judge people after one transaction. If you can't deal with people its better you quit.
My God do I know what you're talking about Faerie!! I've had lots of gas station jobs, I'm working at one right now. A variation on what you said Me: What pump are you on sir? Them: #8 Me: We only have 6 pumps Them: Oh well, it's that one out there Me: which car? Them: that one out there Me: That one out there? as apposed to all the cars we have inside the store? Them: Yeah stupidity doesn't begin to describe it. anyway congrats on getting out of there. Lol; you, Happyhippyflower (also works at a gas station), and me should start our own 12 step group on this site. good luck with whatever comes next.
i have two friends who work alone shifts at the same gas station overnight. it's sweet because if you dont have anything else to do at 11pm to 5am, you can just go hang out there. and you DO meet very interesting people ...along with the complete dumbasses... i would never want to work at a gas station, myself. serving the public is hell to me just for the fact that i become aware of how many honestly stupid people there are out there. however, i don't think that forgetting what pump you're at or not paying attention is a sure sign of stupidity... i do it... but i just say how much money i had in gas and it's all good. goddamn! it's nice out...
Okay how about people who cant comprehend not to pull up to a gas pump when their car is on fire... how stupid is that.... The not knowing what pump your on is just more irritatting that anything... I have to turn around nd look out the window to figure it out (our pumps are prepay so i have to know a pump number) and I was always kinda afraid that when i would turn back around someone would be holding a gun in my face.... My stepmother got shot when she worked at a gas station.. she was lucky though.. they hit her hand which slowed the bullet so it didnt go to far into her stomach.. But she is missing fingers from it We used to be able to hang out with people on our shifts until the bosses nephew screwed that up.. he had mini partyss in there durring busy hours... So after that we were not allowed to have visitors
