Sorry, but I just think it's completely assinine that "gay" now means stupid to so many people, even those who claim not to have anything against gay people.

why even ask, whats wrong with just letting her let you know when the time is right? she'll kiss ya when shes ready to kiss ya.. theres a good chance if you try to initiate somrething before shes ready all you'll get is a turned cheek..
alternately if shes kinda shy, ya could just say hey..i really like spebding this time with you, but i'd really like to kiss ya..would tha be ok

My age and given oral, damn. I wouldn't think you would have any trouble with that kind of thing. Well, its been a week. I guess just look at her, and then if you feel like it move your head out to kiss her, but stop before you get there. She could kiss you, or she could jerk her head back in disgust, and you would feel completely humiliated (shes not rejecting you though, well.... it hasn't happened yet).

If I were you, while you two were alone I would ask her if she wants to kiss. Its way better than the other option (which makes no sense at all, asking is so much easier).

I sware people my age use the word "gay" carelessly so much that once or twice I have caught myself saying "thats gay" when something sucked. I don't hate gays or anything, its just said so often its hard to ignore. People use the word fag very often too.

dwan_sky most teenagers just use the word like crazy (I hear it every time somebody doles out bad news at my school). I don't, but if one guy uses it once try not to judge him too hard for it. Now "fag" is more unforgivable. i never say fag (nobody uses it as a adjective though).

I never said SirTokesAlot doesn't use the word in ignorant succession but I've only seen him use it once. I and upset with enough people as it is.

I wasnt using it to offend anyone, so dont jump all over me, dont we have worse things to worry about then a 15 year old using the word "gay" once in 2 paragraphs? Let it go, I dont hate gays, and if I did, you would most certanly know it, and not from me just saying it once.

probably folks flip out because it IS an offensive term. I think it's ridiculous that people refer to being homosexual in a negative way like that. Maybe it's not your intent, but it's where it comes from. It's not insecurity, it's being insulted over something that isn't a choice, that's simply part of who you are.

 

gay became a slang term for homosexuality sometime around the 1950's.

using "homo" or something along those lines as an insult is a jab at the homosexual life and culture.

gay no longer necessarily carries connotations of homosexuality, and to insist that it does is no more mature or reasonable than it's use as a slang term for something bad.

so in closing...fuck off. language changes, and in the end, history will have proven you a fool.

See, that sounds like the same logic of the person who, when he gets ripped off, says he got "jewed out of his money". Not becuase being Jewish is bad, but jew doesn't necessarily carry the connotation of being Jewish, now it just means stingy with money. Because many kids grow up hearing their parents talk that way, and never really knowing any real Jews, so they don't even have a clue what an insult that really is or where it comes from.

Yeah, language changes. For a long time, people referred to homosexual males as fags, or fagots, as a derrogatory term. The gay community took that word and embraced it, changing the meaning so that it could not longer be used to hurt them. When I was your age, kids were just starting to say things like "that's so gay", with the clear connection that one was challenging the sexuality of the other. Clearly connecting homosexuality with being bad, not something you ever want to be. Now, I see kids continuing with that same behavior, but not even considering where it comes from. That makes me sad. Because you're all becoming like those numbnuts who think that saying someone "jewed you out of your money" doesn't offend and insult Jewish people.

getting back on the topic, don't rush it, pretend that you arn't thinking of kissing her, keep smiling so she thinks she isn't boring you. make her feel comfortable, be confident even if you don't feel it. compliment her hair/clothes but don't over do it .

Poor Kid still doesn't have an answer. Just do it, kiss her. If she turns you down oh well your only a kid, your going to have all kinds of ladies in the next couple years. But if you read some of these threads from these same 15 year olds then I don't think that she will turn you down.
