So, I live by myself and I enjoy immensely the time that I have to myself. I've always been very independent and I can get a lot out of my day living the way that I do.

But I miss my dog back at home at my parents' place. I've really bonded with my dog. He is totally my pal.

I usually make it back home to see him maybe once or twice a week, but it's not enough today. I miss spooning with my dog. Having his head on my knee, and watching his little stump of a tail wag with intense fury.

    *le sigh*

I am so sorry Darlin'! I really feel for you. My bassett hound, Smokey, was "stolen" almost a year ago, and I still hope he will come waddling home. I guess its just the little kid in me that won't accept that he just might be dead.

Lassie was the exception... I've found that to be true myself. As with any dog, if properly trained they are great... but if not they are just naturally stupid.

Yeah, I volunteered at an animal rescue centre all last year cleaning up and taking care of cats and dogs. I walked dogs at 8am Saturday mornings. It was pretty sad to see some abandonned or abused dogs with nowhere to go. I walked a few dogs that were rescued from Hurricane Katrina, and it was very rewarding. But I moved into the city, and started paying rent. I don't have time to volunteer at an animal shelter this year. It sucks.

    Miss the pooch tonight.

That is the most beautifally ugly dog I have ever seen in my life.

He looks like his name should be Clampett.

Kudos for the best dog ever.

I left my cat with my neighbours (actually she belonged to them) when I moved to another neighbourhood some 12 years ago. I've missed her a lot and I'm still living with the regret of not taking her with us... But she wouldn't have appreciated life in a block of flats. She enjoyed the outdoors too much...
