But I think this is it...

I've been up for 2.5 hours with the worst cramps in the world, intermittent diarrhea, and this sense of excitement that I can't shake...

I keep telling myself it's just the tummy flu, but I'll let my midwife decide. I have an appointment in three hours.

If I don't recant by 5 CST, assume the best. :)

    Prayers are with you Holly!

I went through the same thing first pregnancy. The best news is you'll not feel any of it after baby is born. :)

It's amazing what a woman's body can take.

Oh, honey, I hope it isn't the tummy bug. Take your temperature. You shouldn't run a fever in labor, but you probably will with an illness.

    Prayers for you, honey.

That's a big problem...I never in my life run a fever. Even with pneumonia, nothing...

So as much as I'd like to think that would be an indicator, it might not be...

Oh, no. I hope you feel better, sweetie. Tummy flu when you are about to deliver is no fun. Are you constantly nauseaous? Or did you get better when you puked? Some mamas do throw up in labor, it can actually help dilation. But, they usually feel better after they puke.

    (((((((((hugs!!!)))))))))

Can you keep a little ginger ale or tea down? It might help with the nauseousness. I threw up during labor with both of my babies... don't wanna get your hopes up if it is just the flu, but it DOES happen.

    (((((((((hugs!!!)))))))))

    Take care and rest up!!!
    love,
    mom

I never threw up with leane, but I have heard of that happening before.....could you just be so excited that this might be it that you're getting nauseous? I've had that happen before......
as for the cramps.....are they just constant or coming and going???

    Update:

Threw up again at midwife appointment. Took my temp. It was 98.1. Felt better after a few minutes...

They checked my cervix. I'm 90% effaced, 1 cm dialated, and zero station. They think it'll be tonight...

    Keeping you in my prayers.......

You have done so much work already!
Effacement is soo much more important than dilation, once you efface, dilation is a breeze!
Have some good nookie with your man tonight. It'll help, and it'll be the last time for a while. Enjoy being a couple for the last time before you become a family.
