i absolutely love them, everywhere but america, i love them. i really love them. does anyone else like them? or do you not care for them? they are beautiful to me so beautiful.
I think dialects are more charming than accents. I do like the way Japanese and Swedish speak English, but that may be a result of other attributes rather than the accent itself
Well, yes I do.... but, being english, my preferences may be slightly different. I like soft central lancashire (middle/north of england), have a real thing for Italian and Spanish (who doesn't?!?) accents, but German or Austrian chicks speaking English sound delightful. Possibly my favourite. However, I also quite like a soft Cali accent, or (don't ask me why) southern eastern seabord (NC, SC, GA etc) or gulf thing. Ooohh... Aussie is groovy too. Kiwi, ok... but I need more vowels. Oh actually, white Cape Town or Durban Safa is groovy..... It all depends on the person, I suppose...
yes. I love a few american accents too. Really though- its about voice . a sexy voice is awesome, and an accent that is different than one I am accustomed to hearing makes it better
i love english / scottish / irish accents <3 mostly all of europe is the best. even though i'm german i love german accents too... i mean i guess since i live in america at the moment & being south german teh accents vary... but i love it. love voices.
Most Germans I've known or met have been from northern or eastern Germany... I would love to be able to speak enough German to understand the differnce! By the way, I speak basically no German. I can say the things that are the same as they are in English (which is quite a lot, as we know), but it's always easier to see it written than to hear it spoken. In fact, I find Dutch very easy to read, but when they speak English it just sounds.... odd... still, they have readable singposts and many bicycles. And a good football culture. Better than here over the tiny pice of water (wasser?) which, in many British people's minds, somehow separates us historically from the rest of the continent. Silly people, if you ask me. :hat:
not the hillbilly drawl stuff or the hick one. the straight southern accent one. i dunno how to describe it.
dutch does sound silly compared to german, in southwestern germany they speak (not all) schwäbisch and it's a different dialect, northern germans i have been told think it's lazy and untrue or something it's ridiculous.
i know what you mean my sister lives in texas. ehhh guys i just think it's hillbilly because there's such fake hicks around where i live so whenever i hear a guy with a southern accent i lol
yes. there's woods and farms, right? but i don't understand how a few groups of friends, the ones who wear flannel with their john deer hats and their higher trucks got a southern accent from. their parents don't sound like that, i highly doubt they sounded like that when they were younger... i don't understand it.
that's funny as hell. i've never heard of anyone actually wanting to act like a hick before without being one.
There are loads of different southern accents- and quite a few I like. The creole accent with french mixed in can be sorta nice('till they start sounding like my daddy and it is unintelligible muttering like boomhower and that guy on waterboy) . and a soft sweet southern accent is nice.. not slow or drawled out too much. kwim. It ain't all dang ole harsh uneducated hick speech ,ya hear http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_American_English damn, go to the bottom there are loads.
