Don't get me wrong she can sing.. just in a dull fashion.. Come on NJ pick up the tempo a bit. I listened to her album and like some of her stuff.. but it all got repeptetive. I don't suppose you would like to hear my views on Bob Marley
i read some of your posts in political and other forums. i think you are frustrated person who like to quarrel, so... no, i wouldn't like to hear your oppinion on anything. ''you should all be ashamed of yourself''? wtf? you can be ashamed of yourself, starting now.
Eh !!! I was just joking.. i do like to quarrel though .. about NJ or BM naghh, again i was just joking. The only frustration is trying to articulate myself and cut through peoples banal opinions of my opinions and the stereotypical responses i get from some.
i was felt (sp?) provoked by your post, like you was bored and decide to fuck people around a little. ah, well... as for n. j., i like her voice, appearance and i'm impresed with the way she carry her popularity - she's no egomaniac. i admitt i can't listen her more than 3-4 songs, but i don't like her less becouse of that.
No i just had a different opinion.. i did just dismiss her at first.. but then was more 'honest'.. by saying 'don't get me wrong...' 'not being able to listen to more than 3-4 songs' yeah thats prety much me also.. i just dislike people that gain instant popularity and gravitas for sometimes unfounded reasons.. she may well be a 'guiding light' in the music world .. meh i just aint impressed [just my humble opinion].
i don't think her popularity was artificial at all. she IS different. and you have to give her credit for staying Norah Jones instead of Shankar, to ride her dad's fame. she got next to nothing from her dad in terms of help or encouragement for the first part of her life, and she just worked really hard on her own.
