I Just Turned Hippy

Hello,
I goto secondary school and i've just turned 14. Our School is full of "Townies" and "Goths" and i'm the only hippy around. i choose a hippy lifestyle because i have strong political views i am enviromentally freindly and im into old rock bands like aerosmith, guns n roses, nirvana, red hot chili peppers, queen, iron maidon etc. people find me a psycho because im an odd ball as so to speak. i just needed some dudes to talk to who hopefully understand me!

yea hmm i do try and get on wit the goths and townies its a case of them getting on with me, thats why i think im an oddball cus im the odd one out. I'm from bournemouth in dorset. is there anyone on here from around there? I classed myself a hippy because thats what im "labelled" as at school and home.

 

i read you situation and it is about the same where i am......trust me befriend every one.....and i mean every one......they will eventually look up to you and become.....a little like you.........

 

whereabouts are you from hairbear, and also its good to hear that someone is i the same situation as me i feel more relaxed now ive posted on this site ive been reading it for a couple of months but never joined till today and ive had grea response! Cheers!

i want to get my hair in dreadlocks soon but i dont know where to go get it done cus im only little ill look like a right prat if i went to the wrong place. my band practise got cancelled aswell today so im a bit annoyed but oh well!

Yea i know i soo really want dreads or because i have long hair already i was thinking of dying it green, blue or purple. i dunno i think my hair is cool natural but i like to be colourful to show im not a boring person.

You know what else is annoying me right now? The fact that my school is so tightass...I mean if it weren't for them i woulda re grown my hair YEARS AGO, instead i've had to wait like 13 yrs to regrow it...man thats annoying me, don't get dreads

make friends with everyone.
that's the worst thing about labels. people feel a need to not get along with other labels. i get on with everyone that i can - now in my year at school there's only a handful of people i'm not friends with, and it makes time a lot more bearable. there's very few people around i would class as hippies, but i'm not just friends with hippies... though a lot of people tend to convert after they've chilled with me a bit. a lot of people i know that are ridiculously labelly - they join in my drug-festivities of acid, cocaine or whatever and by the end of the day, they proclaim themselves to be a hippy. within one day of meeting one person, i had turned them peaceful, vegetarian and free-loving
