I just failed my driver's test and I feel like a total loser. It was SO embarrassing, and that instructor with the bad 80's Oshawa hair was so rude. I don't see how 16 year olds can pass and I didn't. I just feel awful because I wanted this SO much. Im working so hard to change my life and this really would have been awesome. I just feel stupid and embarrassed and like shit. Ive been having undue stress in my life in other areas as well, and this is just great. I had to wear sunglasses and cry in the car before I told my mom I feel like an ass.
Caiteight, you should have cried in front of your tester! I've known a few gals who brought out the tears and earned their wings simply based on sympathy! But don't worry about the fail. It really does depend on the person that is testing you. Sometimes they are in bad moods and fail everyone that changes lanes too fast or some dumb shit like that. You'll nail it next time, I'm sure.
 Cate, I think everyone I know here in Canada that has taken the driving test hasnt passed it on the first time. Except for my roommate, but she said her instructor was really considerate because the weather was really bad that day.
im guessing you maybe live in a city? getting a license in the city is hard i hear...nomatter what city you live in...up here in the woods it was an easy test...but i know i would NEVER pass the test in NYC...its way too crazy...what you need to do is find a podunk place that has a department of motor vehicals and take the test there...it would probably be way easier...just a thought...
^ I've heard it's a lot harder in the city too actually. Either way, no reason to feel like a loser. I know some damn good drivers that had to retake the test multiple times. It's pretty easy to fail the test if you have the wrong instructor. *big hug* =)
Thanks guys. Makes me feel better. i did the stupidest stuff ever, but now I know exactly what theyre gonna ask. And yes, city life.
i failed the test too, my first time round. and got too damn lazy to bother trying again. mostly because i cant parallel park. but hey, shit happens, you can always try again
Im talkin road test, waking, lol. I .... went up on the curb at one point....damn! haha ... its okay. im gonna redo in 10 days.
ah yeah. Don't worry. Its a tough test the first time 'round. A ton of people fail that on the first go round. Except if you're male. Then it seems to be no problem. Oddly enough, it is always females that get all crushed by the pressure. I know a girl that had to take it four times before passing. Thats the longest I've known anyone to take to pass it. So you'll have it before you know it. How come its so important that you get it?
If it’s any comfort the pressure we’re under as guys to get our license at 16 is tremendous – no license, no dads car to borrow or shit box to buy – leads to no dates Hotwater
I cant stand to be dependant upon anyone...I just want to start having the access and liberty that I am able ot have at this age by driving a car. And I just worked myself up too much.
cate, i know exactly how you feel, that happened to me the tester dude booked it out of my car so fast so he missed seeing me cry, i fucking balled my eyes out i felt so much like cher in clueless right after and then my dad tried to cheer me up with a beer and doc martin boots i took the test in my dads new car, and i'd never driven it before, obviously i was gonna fail it sucks ass, cause i went out with the driving instructor before the test and i was driving fine, if i had used my instructors car instead i prolly would have passed it
Oh Cate8! You don't need a car to feel free dude! Its like the munchies when you're baked! If you're hungry before you blaze you're going to be hungry after you blaze! You can get anywhere and do anything in the world without a car. It isn't a pass to a better life. But its great for ID.
Yeah, the cher comparison made me feel a bit better  Well Im gonna try try again. (hopefully only one more try needed) Waking: You are correct sir, but I cant shake the feeling anyway...do you have your license?
Sure do. Hence the enlightenment. Plus, gas prices suck, although we pay soooo much less than the Yanks. Does it make me less masculine that I caught Indian's cher reference?
I barely passed and really don't think they should've given me a license at all (I was a horrible driver and I'm still not fantastic...which is probably due to the fact I haven't had a car in over a year, lol). So don't feel too bad, just retake it.
