I'm bleeding like a stuffed pig...I frickin' hate it. I keep having to change my pad every couple of hours or it literally overflows. :(

My question is, is it normal when you ladies have a bowel movement during your period and blood comes out in your stool too? I read somewhere that it isn't normal to have blood in your stool, but I wasn't sure if that applied during your period or not. I've always had blood in my stool during my period, so I figured it was normal, but is it really?

No, not to get too graphic, but there is blood on my poop...sometimes, like today, there was like a "clot" of blood.

Definately not supposed to be blood in your stool. That is not a good sign at all. You need to go to the doctor.

I'd definitely go to the doc and take a sample like ITP said, so she'll know what you're talking about! I don't know what would cause something like that.... :& Hope it gets better though!

I'd see a doctor. Some womyn who have endometriosis can have endometrial tissue IN their bowels. It can bleed, when you are menstruating (and other times) but it is not healthy. You could well end up really anemic and it may not be this, but something else.

Any time you see blood in the stool, and you are SURE it is not just a hemoroid, see a doctor. There are some really not so nasty things it could be (like a hemaroid) or something that needs medical attention.

if you don't use tampons, maybe just something dripped onto your stool?

It only happens when I'm menstruating. I've never had blood in my stool any other time of the month...

Maybe try another form of feminine protection (such as a tampon or luna cup) to see if you still have blood with stools. Like another person said, it almost sounds like blood might be dripping down on your stool. Is the blood IN your stool or just on the surface? You probably don't look THAT close at your own poop, but maybe you should make sure that blood is in the poop or not on the surface.

If it is in your stool, see a doctor!

    Peace and love

I mean, it was ON it, but not IN it, so maybe it just drips...I don't know really.
