There HAS to be a way around the "you must be pregnant in the past" rule. its stupid and Im starting not to trust the pill. Id love to get on this, ill have more trust in it, thats for sure
http://www.mirena-us.com/ its inserted in your tubes for blockage. but apparently you gotta have a kid to get on it. which i think does not make sense at all thats their reason. but you CAN get around it somehow
ah. it sounds good. i actually need to look into a better form of birth control. pills made me gain 15 pounds in 2 months
I hate shots and those are different hormones which im staying away from. I have insurance now, maybe i can talk to my doctor. it'll be much easier
lmao yeah you gotta be on that shit. I keep being a little late now and i cant be doing that cause i had sex about 4 days ago and I REALLY have to be on time if you catch my hint, its annoying the hell out of me
I didn't read this when I last looked at this thread. It bothers me slightly, because not only are you going to ask for something you haven't reasearched enough to understand how it works, you're on the internet misadvising people. It's not inserted in your tubes. It's inserted in your uterus and it's not for blockage either. It omits a synthetic hormone (progesterone) which works to thicken mucus at the cervix so sperm can't enter and makes the lining of your uterus too thin for implantation.
well hah they should change their site to say that because they just cut it to short and simple. and im sure if feal wanted it which idk if she does, her doctors will tell her that, im not a doctor
I have the Paraguard which is also an IUD but does not emit the hormones. When I received the information on it before I decided to get it, the booklet said that it is less painful for women who have had children and they prefer that you have had a child, but that women who have not had children are also able to get it with a warning that insertion can be more painful. The IUD is not permanent and can be removed BY A DOCTOR at anytime you are ready. The only side effects I have had were more longer periods and heavier flow and cramps in the beginning but once my body got used to it being there everything went back to normal. I have had the Paraguard for going on 2 and 1/2 years now and I love it.
I have the Mirena and I have never had children. My gyn was all for it when I asked about it. After 10 years on the pill I started having lots of issues with migraines and other things because of the hormones. The mirena does have hormones but they are localized and not systemic like Birth Control pills. I think the mirena is great. Much less worry involved in my life.
damn do you mind if i ask what you are taking? i just started taking birth control again after a 4 1/2 year break...im on loestrin 24 ive gained some weight but my boobs have gotten HUGE and my boyfriend loves it... but i was gonna make a thread abuot this, but ill ask here just in case it can get answered. so after going to india my periods were fucking HEAVY AS FUCK. like be ware this is Too Much Info, i warn you ahead of time: every time i started (in t he past like 4 months i'd put in a super and it would be full of blood within moments of being inside me. i was having to change supers every 3-4 hours or so...now after being on loestrin for 2 full months my last period barely existed. like no joke i only had to use regulars and only one of them barely came close to being covered...it was like jus spotted on it...im almost worried i didn't bleed enough. now i dont know if that's a legitimate concern or what anyone experience this or know about it?
my sister was on loestrin 24 and she hated it. Made her gain weight, her boobs big, made her depressed and cry all the time about EVERYTHING and she had period problems, like it wouldnt show up for 2 months and she'd freak out but then all of a sudden come out of nowhere She got it changed and went on Yaz. I dont approve of that either but she says shes fine Im on a generic BC pill since I got on this with no insurance and it turned out to be the best for me-my first kind of pill and no problems. Lucky but I am getting scared
I'm 32. I've had the Mirena for about 2 years. I do live in the US. It wasn't totally covered by my insurance (BCBS of TN). I think I had to pay like $75 dollars. And for people that haven't had children (and maybe those that have too) they typically do the procedure when you are having a period because it makes it marginally easier.
The shot is bad it deteriorate your uterus or something. Get the mirena. And you don't have to have a kid to get the mirena cuase i have it and i have never had a kid. And im telling you it works.... My x nutted in me everytime and now the guy im dating now has nutted in me everytime and i still have no kids. And i have absolutly no period. I encourage it. Go talk to your doctor. And my insurance covered it. But i got it when i was 17 and my medicaid covered it.
ok ill go to my doctor about it. it'll be so much easier in the long run. i do have insurance now. thank you!
