Hello. And thi is this bit. I think, drugs is everything we like. Just think about it. If we can't live without stupid chat by the phone, isn't it drug? Yeh, it is. If we can't stop in reding one book, and we like it very much, we read it everyday, isn't this book dug for us? Yeh, it is. Everything that we add in ourlife as "Needed very much" is drug. Just not love and paintings. Love and paintings - are only things that we can't have enough. Are you with me??? What do you think about this??? I'm interested in your point of view on it!!! Tell me! Sincerly YOURS, ANITA LOVE.
Anita, You are right...but..LOVE is the best drug there is.. It's free..usually does not do any harm, and what's more.. it's such a powerful feeling..the ones who can give real LOVE.. they get it back..whether it's love for animals,painting,art.. As long as it is non harmful..then it's O.K.. The beatles song All you need is love... A message...so..let's keep our promess.. and give each other warmth, understanding, respect and love.. and I can bet my head for it..that this world will be a better place..
And in the end.... the LOVE YOU TAKE is THE LOVE YOU MAKE!!! YOU ARE RIGHT. LOVE IS THE MOST TASTY DRUG. IT"S A WAVE OF HAPPINESS.
hah yes... chemicals addict even the most sober of us, all the time. every emotion you feel is a series of neuro-chemical reactions. some people are more addicted than others to emotions like love (serotonin) or, in fewer cases, danger (adrenaline). we'll do anything to get our fix sometimes...
HeY!! Sinaptic Ether!! I think you are a doctor, aren't you?? You speak as my sister, and she is a nurse. Are you interest in chemical??? I think you do. You know words like "serotonin".... Thank you, you make us a little cleverer!!
Anita; Your take on drugs is the reality of the world.Since a "drug"is defined as anything that alters the inner thinking and the perception of the world. This doesn't neccessarily mean that it has to be a chemical substance. So yes you are following the road to true enlightenment through your beliefs.
Good post. Few people are aware of the fact that every emotion that we have is caused by certain chemicals being released in the body. We actually have addictions to these chemicals and go through withdrawal if we dont get our fix. I watched an excellent documentary on this not too long ago but I can't remember the name of it now.
it's fresh in my head from "What the Bleep Do We Know" wich i highly recomend to everyone... unless you're some middle+ aged orthadox religion follower and the usual things that come with such a mindset... then it might shatter your reality and seriously freak you out. or if you're stupid... then it'd just go in one ear and out the other... stupid people are weird like that lol... wow, way off topic...
it has been proven that love can actually be more addictive then cocaine. example: a woman leaves a man who is deeply in love with her. that man truly wants her back.........hes willing to do ANYTHING to have her back......without her hes depressed, in lots of phsycological pain and tries to find other things to do to help him forget about it her but somehow shes always still there in his mind. Now to anyone who is an experienced coke user.............sound familiar?
It now appears that the serotonin neurotransmitter system may be far more complex than anyone had realized, linking areas throughout the brain in an interwoven tapestry of serotonin-producing connections. Not surprisingly, serotonin receptors are especially plentiful in the areas of the brain controlling emotion. What's more, within the past decade, scientists have realized there are at least six different receptor types in the serotonin system, each responsible for sending different signals to different parts of the brain. The next step is to find a drug that can affect just one of these receptor types, and to develop a simple lab test that can identify specific serotonin malfunctions. Can I have my PhD and 6 figure/mo income now? Especially when I add the phenomenon of "post relationship regression" is so rampant in the US today? Over 60% of the population is exposed to chronic psychophrenia induced by failed quasi-magnanimous overtures of once-venerated liaisons. God, that should get me another $60/hr at least ...
well for my own sanity I need some differentiation. Talking on the telephone isn't a drug, cocaine is a drug. Blurring the lines is all too much for me, my dealer Aunty Pete would probably also be highly confused if I asked him for a copy of 'On The Road'. The only thing I can say that isn't a drug but is a drug is music, I've never had a high like the one I get playing on stage. I come back to it always, it consumes me alot of the time and I don't think I'll ever be able to kick that habit.
well yea... the word "drug" is defined in so many different ways by people that using it in a statement is always a bit too vague. most of the time, it's best to just focus on the context that it's being used in. there are some people who don't consider caffeine to be a drug... which i fine amusing but also, when one gets that feeling from playing on stage, your brain is being washed with all sorts of adrenaline(the rush) and endorphins(the euphoria) from all the mental(people's attention being on you, past experiences and learnings, not messing up,...) and physical activity. it's all still a chemical process. some drugs that are taken "activate" these same receptors and produce the same feelings and emotions. however, it's usually way different because of the situation: being energized and euphoric because you took a pill is far different than it being because you're actually on stage and performing for people. people can get addicted to those feelings, either way. that's what i gather, anyway.
