when I was out getting wine.... I saw my cigs were buy one get one.

so I bought em.

and in NY they are between $7-$8
completely ridiculous!

I usually just drive to PA for cigs though, because they are under 5 bucks there

 

i haven't bought cigs in a couple years, but they were only slightly more than $4 here for marlboro... and people still drove south to buy cartons so that must not be the best deal around.

well i doubt that it's just cigs. i pay $450 a month in rent here; i suspect that the same apartment in NYC would be closer to $2000.

of course, this apartment couldn't exist in NYC since they prefer highrise and this is kind of spread out and ruralish for an apartment complex, but anyway, i mean something of similar size and upkeep.

ohh yeah i know. i bought cigs in NY a couple summers ago, i used to go every year. nearly shit my pants when it totaled to over 8 bucks...

apparently it has really helped people to quit, though. that's what they're trying to do by raising the gas price.... encourage people to find alternatives.
