I don't think Satan's evil in the sense of some cosmic opponent of good. I think in reality, Satan is just a component of God and that the great spirit uses Satan to evolve creation. Satan is the great tempter, but were the one's who harbor the temptations as unfulfilled wishes. If a temptation is destructive, whether its cheating on your spouse or trying to quit and addiction, its our job to confront it and not act on that temptation. Jesus Christ was tempted in the wilderness to become an earthly king and tyrant over humanity. Through his charisma, influence, and bloodline, he could have become a Genghis Kahn or Alexander the Great, but he chose not to. Instead, he sought to spread peace and love, even though it was returned by the world system with a violent, criminal's execution. Most self-described Satanists are people that reject the notion of spiritual evolution for man and embrace the old order of kill or be killed, dominate be dominated, eat or be eaten, etc. I see Satan as just working through god, like in the story of Job. He isn't tempting us to get us to do evil though. He's tempting us to give us an opportunity to show love for God, for other people, for creation, and to evolve ourselves. So, in my view, to truly honor Satan, you have to follow God's will. I also think that for free will to exist, the relationship between Satan and the Creator has to exist, otherwise we'd be rigid little programs doing exactly what God commanded us to do. Satan is actually the greatest gift to us from God imo. Its what we do with it that counts.
Its like God, in his plan, allows for people like Christ to exist, who overcome the temptation to be a cynical human being (even when they have all the right in the world to be cynical), and take love to its maximum even if all that's returned for their trouble is a strike on the face or a scourge in the back. Society fails the truly Christ-like people were given by ignoring them or even even destroying them. The crowd obviously didn't want to follow Christs example of radical pacifism and chose Barabus, the violent radical over his approach. Some people blame Satan for their mistakes, when Satan is really just an extension of our selves. I'm glad that tempting voice is there, because if it wasn't, I'd just be a robot. I'm the evil one for giving into those voices, simply because its the easiest and widest path for me. True love is taking the narrow path that's hard for yourself but ultimately the better choice for yourself, others, and God. I believe God feels our collective anguish, and doing the right thing for others is ultimately giving mercy to God. We always expect mercy from him, but we should be merciful to him too. I don't think he likes that his children, his creation, hurt each other like they do. Its like if you, yourself, had two children and the one killed the other. That would be a terrible thing to have to live with as a parent, so you can only imagine how much worst it is for God. We are our own evil. Its not some bogeyman with a pitch fork.
This is the premise of many secret societies that the wealthy elite belong to. The New World Order, Masonics and Skull & Bones type groups. They believe and worship God but give the same devotion to the 'other' side. Thats a wild idea that makes a lot of sense.
I don't think the romans would ever allowed him to become an earthly king (let alone conqueror) but ok, I see that's not the point here
Lucifer's the good one. He's a sympathetic character, really. Rebelling against the tyrannical rule of the all-seeing, all-powerful creator. His response to the arbitrary rules of the creators' whim to shape us against the nature he gave us; is to embrace the natural urges. He's the son telling the father, "Sorry, dad, but fuck farming; I'm an artist, that's all that will truly make me happy." The worst thing Satan does in the Bible is exist. If anything, he's the hero.
He had the charisma, the lineage, and the backing to become a leader in Palestine though. That's really what it takes. At one point he had large mobs of people following him, ready to do what he commanded them. When he told them to become martyrs with him, they abandoned him though. If he told them to pick up arms and kill Romans, they probably would have done it.
They can't serve two masters though. When you treat Satan as God, you treat ego as God. My argument, though, is that the one true God created ego and the darker aspects of the psyche to give us free will. If we choose God(Love) over ego, then we'll meet out highest potential. If we choose ego over God, though, it'll end in death and destruction. Either you serve love or you don't.
You have to remember that large portions of Christianity were added or taken away from the bible centuries later. The whole concept of who is "good" or "evil" is interesting to me. God or "good" asks unconditional obedience, and continual praise of himself. And "evil" is evil because it gave these inferior beings called humans knowledge. The bible says man is crated in God's image, why is that? Well the answer to these questions is one that not many have considered. The Earth is much older then modern science believes it be. Before what we could call our ancient times there were other races and civilizations on this planet. A race that looks very similar to us humans came to the Earth for the resources. Through genetic engineering of the primates of the planet they created humans. We are in fact a mix of their DNA and primate DNA created for the purpose of serving this alien race. We are very weak in the areas of intelligence and learning ability compared to them due to our ape DNA. This was done on purpose, we are meant to be smarter then a beast of burden, but not smart enough to surpass them. The secret society's of the world understand this as well. This is the reason why evolution has not found the "missing link". Evolution is valid, however it can not occur at the rate it did for humans, it is a much slower process. Science believes this rapid evolution can be explained by a species that never existed. So in this way Creationism is also right, but they also do not understand fully. It is this race that gave us the bible, they told us they were God because we would not know any better, and it serves their needs. What the bible calls the devil is actually the influence of the native race of the Earth. They had been here long before these new explores came, and they did not agree with their beliefs. The two races had a war started by our "gods", and part of this war was the native race enlightening us to the truth, so of course the other side will tell us they are bad, it is their enemy. Something similar to nuclear weapons were used, the type of weapons that can make a planet uninhabitable for thousands of years, this is what happened to the Earth. This is why we do not find much evidence of this according to fields like archeology. After millions of years and nuclear war, most everything is gone. Little is known of the true history of either of these two races. The humans that are here now are not the first evolution of civilization, we have risen and fallen several times.
Dude, what the fuck are you talking about? We have ALL the links, what missing link? there is no evidence of any alien DNA anywhere in anything, DNA is DNA, most things on the planet have most of the same DNA, in fact, it's just down to how it's arranged and when what genes are turned on. There's human skeletons showing this evolution just in the last few/dozen thousand years, including showing the evolution of society. There's fossil remains of several species of higher ape that lived as humans, and even could have (and in some cases, I think, are KNOWN to have) interbred with humans-we have some small amount of DNA from these other hominids. This means they lived in family bands, communicated and probably talked, used tools, and that sort of thing. It seems that one of the things that set our own species apart may have been having JUST enough more intelligence to discover fire at a crucial point, or to have a better mastery of it. Hell, maybe they where smarter, and fire was just a trade secret, found by accident and not learned by them until it was too late. You can generally see that we're all the same shit. Look at a T-rex: it's got a spine just like ours, jointed legs and arms, opposing fingers and toes, teeth of the same general nature as ours, breastplates, and a slightly more impressive tail than mine. Just about every bone or structure you've got has a corresponding one in a T-rex. And you think we have missing links?
I'm not getting into this. Because I know that probably quite a few members may possibly love a chance to jump all over someone like me... a conservative crunchy Catholic. However... and this is all I wanted to say, (so I don't get set on fire or have my have my faith challenged by someone who isn't going to believe me anyway, (been there and done that and got me upset and I am here for a bit of fun, not to have verbal death matches)... Aaaaany way.... God is good, loving, and the Creator of us all. You don't have to believe me. I'm not here to convert anyone. But it's true. Everyone knows there is good vs evil. God is good. Satan is evil. Satan is not the little red guy on the front of the canned of deviled ham with the pitchfork. He is drop dead gorgeous, charming, rich, and waltzes right in the front door. Satan charms his way into everything.. God approaches with love, and disguised as the poor and infirm. You made God to sound like some big pie-in-the-sky egomaniac. Not at all. And satan isn't just there for the 'fun stuff' and anything that doesn't fall into the Christian rule book. I am so sad you feel that way, and hope you will come to know how untrue that is. Please know you may message me privately if you'd like more explanation or want to talk further.. I don't know everything. No one does. There's a lot of views out there, and I know that a Christian viewpoint is often the least popular. I am not here to be popular. But I'm not going to lie to you, or say what I think may make me look cool. But I will leave you with this quote, which I think applies to so many things: "Right is right, even if no one is doing it. Wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it."
I don't expect allot of people to believe, it's simply too threating for many to accept. Thier is actuly allot of evidence for aliens intercvention, its just that that histpry has been labeld ancient myth. Most fosils are not put togtehr properly, the species they have built never existed. Allot of primitive apes have been built with the intention of finding missing links. They had a rough idea, what it should look like, and they created that. There is pressure to succeed in science. You do not have to believe this, but the people that run the world do.
Not true. Nothing is as clear cut as 'good vs evil.' A little boy gets raped his whole childhood, grows up and rapes someone himself. Is that man evil? Humans just want to always make things as simple as good vs evil. Nothing is all good, nothing is all bad. And it's very easy to take that a step farther and say 'we're good and they're evil.' Which is probably one of the reasons why religion (typically a good vs evil ideology) has caused so much war and killing. So were you there when they put the fossils together? Honestly, this is just another angle for trying to say 'humans didn't come from apes.' Strange thing is that many of the fossils are up for display where people in that field down from the small time researches to the devoted professors can visit them, and you don't think a single person (experts who have spent their lives studying fossils but aren't in those high echelons as you say) would have noticed that something is not right? Furthermore have you ever heard of Piltdown man? That was a skull which was supposed to be a human ancestor which was faked. The hoax was then later revealed BY scientists. You say there's a lot of pressure to succeed in science, and you may be right, but there's a lot of pressure to find the truth too because it's competitive. If another scientist finds a hole in your theory or data, they're going to bring you down and hard.
Yeap, Look at ALL creatures in early embryo stages. We all look alike! That's freaky! Didn't God create Satan? Why would God create a being thats evil? Or did God make a mistake?
Have you seen the Science museum at the Smithsonian? There's a lot of convincing fossil evidence for early human evolution. What evidence is there of alien intervention? Really, without physical evidence alien seeding is nothing but conjecture and myth.
i don't think "satan" is a thing that exists. if it did. i don't think we would. by that i don't mean all sorts of neat fun invisible things can't or don't exist. just that those that do, have no obligation to either kiss christianity's ass, be evil, or have a damd thing to do with anything christianity or any thing else, thinks its talking about.
A mathematician once calculated that it’s actually hotter in heaven than in hell (that’s if you interpret the bible literally) Hotwater
