Hi there, Having always been a careful guy with stuff like this, i'm in a bit of a mess with what's happened recently.
I've been with my girlfriend for 2 years now. ( with a gap )
About 6 months ago though, we broke up for the space of a month. In this time, I had sex with another girl, I am ashamed of it, I feel guilty, and I love my girlfriend very much I can't believe what I did.

It was unprotected sex, about 6 months ago, the only other person I've had unprotected sex with is my girlfriend, who swears to me she hasn't done that since we got together. ( In other words, the only person I've had unprotected sex with other than my girlfriend who has been checked out and has nothing recently, is the girl during our break ).

Yesterday, whilst in the shower, I looked down and saw a small spot on the end of my penis ( just under the top of the foreskin ). It was a spot like any other that you may find on your face or back, the classic kind of spot with a white head that looked like it could be popped. There was nothing at all different about this spot, but it was on my penis! It's not huge, it's not like any of the strange ones I found after searching google,... nothing bubbly, no itching, no hurting when I wee, just a spot on my penis.

The first thing I did was get out of the shower and go and tell my girlfriend about it. We looked at it, whilst searching google for some time, to see it is nothing like anything found on the STD sites, and I also know that I am in a rather low risk group for STDs having had my girlfriend been checked not too long ago, and only having had sex with one other partner, but anythings possible.

I woke up this morning, and it had gone, come and gone just like any other spot.
My question is,... do I need to see a doctor? It has been 6 months since i've slept with anyone that I can't say i'm 100% sure doesnt have anything, it was one single spot that came and then went,.. and did not look like any of the problem spots i've seen. It's just made me really worried.

    Never,,.... never again.

Well if you want to be sure why not just ask a doctor?

I think you're right, i'm just not totally keen on the idea of taking myself to the doctor, ( I don't want to go showing my wang to other blokes, and i'm not the most confident person ).
I do realize though, in all serious, I do think I am going to go as I have to, I just shouldn't have got myself in this situation.

I also think I should probably mention, it's on an area of my penis ( right near the top ) where the edge of the foreskin lies, i've always had a tiny bit of a patch which is more red than other parts there, and I have been a lot more sexually active this last week with my partner than usual, is there any chance it could be from too much fun recently?

It's a horrid feeling, I wish i'd listened to my better judgement and after all this, even though I think deepdown it's probably nothing but its not like anything i've had before, I'm going to make dam sure nobody I know sleeps with anyone unprotected. ( without checking first ).

Is there a good chance it's from too much rubbing on jeans, clothes and sex? Would it take so long before I had anything happen to me since my act? This is getting me so down, I can't think about anything other than it. I need to see a doctor but thats my family doctor.. I don't even know his number.

My girlfriend thinks it's nothing but she's no doctor, same here really as it's gone in a day and hasnt had any of the other symptoms i've heard about.

    Hmm

    After looking at this:

    http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-treat-a-mystery-spot-on-the-penis-236746/

It's not like any of them,.. it's is like he says, maybe just a spot!
I will have to see the doctors though I think, I just really don't want to and would like to avoid it, I know thats not a good idea,.. and I know what my logical reasoning says. I know that I would be telling someone to go and see a doctor but it's different sometimes when you're in the situation yourself.

I just need to get the courage together and go get it done I think.
    Support would help me though.

What are the chances of getting an STD if someone you have sex with definately has one? What are the chances of her having an STD?

Understandable but it's a doctor - it's their job, they are used to it, and will handle it in a professional manner. If you're really uncomfortable with a man, there are female doctors.
