Or any other holiday for that matter. Maybe birthdays, but that's it. I just think they are stupid, a waste of paper, a waste of time, and when people feel obligated to keep them whether they like them or not, it creates a bunch of unecessary clutter. Am I evil? I just think a phone call is better, more personal, or maybe sending something like a box of cookies or flowers or something.
I think Christmas cards are great to send to people you don't see, like people in other cities or countries. But if the person is sitting right there, right beside you... why do you need to give them a card? The only cards I keep are ones from my boyfriend, cos they're special. But really, most cards aren't that great anyway.
seems to be something everyone dreads to do, and then the receiver doesn't get much joy out of them anyway.
Last night, my wife and I knocked out 23 Christmas cards out of 35. So, we will be trying to get these done tonight after I get back from swimming.............. ~namaste~
I don't do christmas cards either. Never have. Although my fiance and I are sending some cards that are from both of us. The thing is, my family is not close, and I really don't know any of my relatives. They never send things to us, and we never send things to them. I know this probably could be improved, but I am not one to take the initiative on this front. Well, honestly, if I sat down to write christmas cards, I haven't a clue who I would write them to. I don't know anyone. Maybe I should concentrate on knowing people before sending them token gestures of my affection.
i sent out a bunch of christmas cards this year. i'm not doing any presents so i figured i could make up by doing cards. so i sent them out to family and friends and some people to just let them know i think about them once in awhile. but i don't write any huge letters or anything in them. mostly just merry christmas from tae. i also sent a bunch out to some hipforumers.
I don't do christmas cards either.....but then again, the only people I would send them too I talk to every day.
same here I don't get christmas cards it's like hey I haven't talked to you for a year and neither of us are religous but I am going to get in touch with you and send this hokey card because jesus christ was born this month-makes no sense.
