I think your opinion really doesn't count, as you do not possess a uterus. Therefore, neither would mine, but I believe abortion should stay legal since I really believe I, myself, shouldn't have jurisdiction or any real say over the matter.

I also believe rapists shouldn't have the ability to conceive, in some shape or form... or they should be castrated.

In case you mistake me for a pro-life dude, I'm not. Though abortion is completely vial, the government shouldn't have control over what we do with our bodies.

Of course abortion is disgusting, but if men are going to continue to commit rape, you should just quit your whining and so should the rest of the millions of people with different opinions (edit: meaning all the people disagreeing with each other and arguing pointlessly and immaturely without taking things in from different angles) on it... If they don't want an abortion, they don't have to get one. Of course it isn't the child's fault... nor is it the mother's fault, but I'm afraid they weren't created out of love... I wouldn't want that reminder if I was a female.

I understood it was a joke and that you're not pro-life, I meant towards the comment that you thought it was disgusting (and I didn't mean that in a bitter/mean way ). I meant that I'm sure all of us do, but I'm over that whole thing because even though it may be a little odd, I wouldn't want anyone to have no choice, especially when it isn't the mother or the child's fault. Who in the hell are the government to tell people what they can't or can't do with their bodies.

 

what?! and take away MORE freedom. You will never know what it is like untill this happens to you. A young girl gets raped at thirteen and has a baby that she cant raise and is burdened by this child for years. there are many bad things that can happen to women in this part of life and i believe it is her right to decide what to do for the good of the baby and for her own self.

I'm living under an assumed idenity. I must say, burning my fingerprints did hurt. A lot. But hell, I'm not a government robot anymore.

 

abortion is a difficult issue. morally the govt has no right to infringe. but at some point it becomes murder, and that is the difficult part.


personally, in any case of forced sex, such as rape, or incest, abortion should be up to the woman. short of that it seems to me to be murder, especially after the fetus has grown to a certain point.

while it is true that I don't have an uterus, I am an human being and therefore my opinion is valid.

and thats why it should only be allowed early in the pregnancy.

personally I think there are far bigger problems to address...like the quality of life and economic issues that the born face.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I just mean that the men of the gung ho more-Conservative-than-thou crowd can't seem to look at the matter from a different angle, even when it comes to rape...

I also would like to factor in that if the mother is young or feels that she just isn't ready, it may not be the best environment to raise the child in (obviously), but in that case, I suppose adoption would be the most efficient choice... But I still feel that shouldn't really be my decision nor should males try to dominate abortion laws when it doesn't even involve them having no option but to give birth to a child, no matter what.

On a more serious note, I don't think we will have to worry about the SCOTUS overturning Roe vs. Wade anytime soon, as Roberts has said that he has seen nothing that would compel him to overturn it.
