My heart sank yesterday whilst on the news channel they were pulling creatures from the mess and trying to clean them off

in fact it's making me sick thinking about it now, seriously, it was horrible.

 

i smoke weed, stop me.. lol.

 

it pisses me off just as much if not more..

 

My mom stopped me from making food yesterday and made me watch the news with all the birds and shit covered in oil. Had to be a little rude in telling her to make sure she knows never to make me watch somethin like that again.

 

Just makes me sick to even think about it

 

it's fucking devestating

that's why its my signature picture. people need to see it so they feel it, and understand the intensity of this catastrophe. i have a huge pit in my stomach.

apparently, BP just put $50 million on a tv ad. I haven't found something in print that says it yet though...but anyway it pisses me off, because that money could have been spent to stop this shit or it could have been saved to fund clean up crews once it was stopped successfully.

 

The sum total of what I've seen very strongly suggests that BP is more concerned about their image and profits than they are about the environment they are fouling and the livelihoods being wrecked in the process... from day one- at first they denied there was a leak... then it was a small leak- then the ultimately pointless ongoing spin control attempting to minimize the ecological catastrophe.


.... and oil is STILL gushing into the gulf; meanwhile, they are characterizing in terms of success a cap that is allowing more than half of the crude to foul the gulf waters. Seems to me they are more concerned about being able to profit from the crude hemorrhaging from the ocean floor that finding a quick and complete stop to the leak... because we all know they need more profits, right?


Criminal... plain and simple. BP should be turned over, lock, stock, and barrel to the state of Louisiana with shares held by the fishermen and others whose livelihoods have been destroyed by this. That way BP CEO Tony Hayward can get his life back.
