I am Canadian and I mean cookie. As in round flat sugary goodness.... A biscuit is a scone to us.

My kids just had some cookies. Sugar cookies with blue frosting and sprinkles on them. I just finished making a fresh strawberry pie with homemade whipped cream for dessert tonight. Mmm, should be yummy! My oldest son went strawberry picking yesterday with my mother and he brought me home 2 quarts of berries so I figured I'd make a pie with some of them.

Eh, it's not that difficult to do. It's worth the time it takes, that's for sure! You should see how many different kinds I make around the holidays. I totally stock my deep freezer full of them, give them out as gifts. My husband's favorite place to be during the holidays is rummaging through the deep freezer in the basement chowing down on my cookies. I get mad at him because I swear sometimes he eats them as fast as I bake them, and before I know it, I'm running out of a certain kind and have to make more. The kids aren't any better. They know that their mommy stores the cookies down in the basement so they are constantly asking to go play down there, although they have ulterior motives and try and sneak handfuls of cookies while they're down there.

My sister-in-law and I had talked about taking orders around the holidays for cookies and selling them, but now with her having a baby due next month, I'm not sure she'll be able to do all that baking this year!
