I do like Dr. Phil, so I'm watching it right now. He's got a girl on there who's 22 years old and has a "blankie" (which is more like a dirty rag now) and sucks her thumb... She's also got a fiance... What the helll was her mother thinking letting her do that this long? Geezus.
i still have my blankie from when i was a baby. i dont' suck my thumb or act like a baby...but damn right i still have my blankie
Heck, my mom thought there was something wrong with me when I was 8 years old and still sucking my thumb! :leaving:
I have to admit I still do have a childhood blankie that I keep tucked away in a drawer... just for when I get stressed call me a big baby or whatever..... but its not like I carry it everywhere with me..... as for the sucking the thumb thing.. that girl must have a pretty nasty lookin thumb and even worse teeth..... ick.... and how does her fiance deal with it!?
If that's her thing, then people should let her do it. Some people escape the horrors of the world through drugs, Others escape them through never growing up (even to an extreme, such as this).
I wish I still had my childhood blankie. It was so nice and soft and had satin around the edges. I used to suck my thumb and hold my ear with my blanket against it.
My sister had a bottle until she was 5. My mom told her she couldn't go to kindergarten until she stopped taking a bottle and eventually she did... She still acts like a big freakin' baby.
It just trips me out because this girl has to sleep with this rag everynight. She won't even let her mother wash it. Her teeth look normal...weird.
i just got rid of my blankie last year.... i slep under the thing from when i was 2 or 3 untill my son took it over and renamed it mr.blankie about 2 years ago i miss it and regret throwing it out, it was so faded the flowers looked like vomit stains and it it had almost no stuffing left in it HAHA i even took the damn thing to the hospital with me when i had my daughter and again when i had my son jimi, i couldnt stay there for three days and sleep under "weird" blankets
