How to roll (US style) for n00bs

ok, i posted this in another topic, but i think it would be cool if people could perchance criticize me on my joint rolling technique. btw, i refuse to backwards roll. i'd rather have a harsh, but sturdy joint, than a slightly more mellow, flimsy joint that'll bend in half in your pocket. plus, since it's so easy, i can roll just as good after smoking 2 of them.

 

I only twist one end. I roll my joints in the shapes of cones. And after rolling i'll run a lighter through my joint to get rid of any moisture. Tips are usually good too.

first of all can I ask what the fuck you need to second paper for? A single paper has the width to hold more than the standard amount of weed! Personnaly I think it's idiotic to add more than is needed, as with paper youll get more of a papery taste (which isnt too pleasent) and I dont really think rigidity has really anything to do with joints. Yes my joints sometimes get bend and roughed up abit, and there have been the occasional flopper but your not going to be entering any beauty contests with it! sop a few creases wont really matter.

another thing i guess is because im british I always use a roach. on the occasions were i have done without a roach the end kept closing up and becoming horiible and soggyish. not only that but u cant smoke as much and theres not much to hold onto

yea... i dont understand the two papers either... i mean if you cant roll with a 1 1/2" paper.. then ya need some practice... dont just keep adding paper... yea... plusyou dont need to twist up both ends... unless you plan on maybe traveling somewhere with the joint... then its not a bad idea so your weed dont fall out while its in you pocket, ear or cig pack or whatever you man carry it in... also learning to roll with a tip(roach) is nice... keeps ya from ruining the end of the joint.. suckin out weed... clogging.. etc..(AnarchistScott: im glad that slowly roaches are starting to catch on in the states here... not fast.. but im sure in the future we'll see alot more people rolling with them)

 

i don't approve of U.S. style joints.

euro only, with the fabulous cone-shape, inside-out rolling, and of course the tippie.

 

Damnit, someone needs to make an image tutorial for the euro style rolling, I keep hearing people talk about it and shite but I still don't get how to do it...

 

yeah i dont see the point of the tooth pik,i use one paper which i dont see the point for two, when i put the weed in i press on the top of right where the weed is and roll it back and forth in my fingers so it stciks together and gets packed in then when im done i put the joint in a peace of paper and roll that back and forth between my fingers to tighten it if i need to

I'm an American, roll similar to that (except with just one paper, and with a roach). The only main difference is that I can't get it to be cone shaped...

 

cone shaped is more entertaining, but it really doesnt matter. it always burns real fast at the end anyway so you can actually be wasting a lot if you make a cone shape.

but it loos real cool hehe

and in your technique here, a crucial step missed is the rolling back and forth between fingers. you can make joints and cigaretets without doing that but.. its just a step down and is harder when you try and doesnt smoke as good.

 

as well...ppl who can roll VERY well dont twist the ends.

ppl who can roll good enough/tight enough wont have to pack it/twist the ends, twisting the ends generally messes with the burn, all u do is crimp it.

what is the point of having a huge cherry if u cant even take advantage of it, no one i know ever rolls cones just because the size of 1 good cone joint = 1.5-2 normal sized straight joints, which in the end will get u more fucked
