How Much Does Marijuana Cost?

I've never smoked befour, going to be buying for the first time on monday, from a 'friend' he's more of an acquaintance, but i told him i wanted to try it out, he offered to go smoke with me befour school a few times, but always ended up being busy, but he knows i want to try it so he offered to sell me some.

Heres my question, how much does marijuana cost? He said he's getting me 3 joints for 20$ But, he is also pre-rolling them for me, and also getting me a lighter (since ive never smoked befour, he's getting everything i need) so, is that a reasonable price? I have no clue what marijuana is worth.

Well it really depends on a variety of factors, where you live, how hard it is to find it right now, the quality of smoke you're getting... I find it's best to deal with people in quarter oz, half oz, or oz measurements rather than by joint or blunt if you're going to be smoking regularly. But it really depends on how much is in each joint and what you're getting. Here, if they were pretty fat, it'd be a decent deal, but anywhere else it might be a rip-off. The problem I've had buying weed already rolled is jackasses who throw the seeds and shit in there, too. But hell, $20 for your first time, might as well. Then after that, you can decide whether or not it was worth it.

sounds kinda expensive for canada, even if they are like one gram joints (big). but if this is your first time smoking, it's not a terrible rip off. you gotta start somewhere...

 

make sure they are as big as a cigarett and smell nice and skunky and you might as whell try and haggle him to 15

 

I am going to share a little story with you...and you can decide the answer to your question.
The other week, I went to a LOT of trouble, going thru a friend's son, who happened to have to have this other young man along, TOO, and I had to take them to yet somewhere else, yada yada...The oz cost me $115, I gave the dude $10 finder's fee PLUS gave "them" (left them at the very least 3-4 gms)...I go home and I'm 10 effing grams short!!!! I expected some short; but really...somebody really helped themselves, and yes they had plenty of opportunity! Little did they know this old gal missed nothing.

Then today at long long last I got back in touch with my old finder, I'm 28 gms heavier and $110 lighter. A wonderful and fair trade, I assure you.

20 dollars for three joints the size I roll would be worth it... So it really depends on how big the joints are, 20 dollars for 3 pins wont make me a happy camper. If they are each a gram then its worth it, even if each are .8

Regardless, you will have a different tolerance then I, you will probably have very different bud then I, and your situation is completely different then mine. So none of this matters.

My only real information that could help is that I too live in Canada, albeit Ontario and not BC, and 25-35 for a half q (3.5g) is normal for me. How much is it worth? Depends, but most people do 10$ a gram, with "discounts" for larger "orders".

 

Tell him instead, you want the bud and papers, and him to TEACH you how to roll a joint.

Look up a gram of weed and how to identify good weed online, next to items for scale.

Given the whole situation, a gram is usually 20 dollars, but prepared, rolling-ready bud, papers, lighter, and his time/patience should mean like 3/4ths of a gram or so would be fair... and the 3 joints i would make would be enough to get you blazed 3 times, for sure, if you inhale right.

yikes..fellow canadian..hello...if the doobies are skinny..it is not a great deal....by skinny,i mean half the diameter of a ciggarette..they should be close to or slightly fatter...there is a good chance of highly potent weed where you live..specially at this time of year..i suggest making sure you are close to somewhere you can safely ''chill'' after you smoke...hmmm..some people,me included,mix a little regular tobacco with their weed..i think the kids call it ''batching''...if they are pre rolled make sure there is NO tobacco in the doobs as the tobacco will make you as dizzy as the weed makes you high lol.....be forewarned.unfortunately many people take advantage of rookie smokers ..the prerolled doobs are a warning sign...i would ask for the weed unrolled and fashion a pipe to smoke it....if you have never smelled burning marijuana you should probably just wait until you are at a party and someone passes you a joint before you start purchasing weed..you are skipping an important step in the process ...it will happen..the odds are heavily in your favor that at some point someone will attempt to entice you with this plant in your formulative[sp?] years

 

Why not get a pipe? they are surely easy to get in Canada, and you can have the weed, not broken down and rolled into joints and you can more easily smoke a small amount and wait a few minutes,then hit it again, and so on, since BC bud is widely known in the US to be high grade weed,and it being your first time, IMO a pipe would be better,waste less bud,and so on..anyway $20 for 3 joints of high grade is kinda costly for Canada,like the Canada people have said!! anyway why doesn't dude pick you up a cheap pipe of some kind instead or pre rolling you 3 joints?! IMO prerolled joints are risky in my area,no one ever buys by the joint though, and few people will hit a prerolled joint here,unless it is rolled by a trusted friend, becasue some scam artists here and other places will sometimes lace shitty weed with PCP,and you having never smoked weed, might not know the difference, but i can say PCP laced weed when burning smells like buring rubber or some chemical type of crap, if you have ever hit a joint laced with PCP by mistake or intentionally you know the smell...anyway being in BC,Canada I don't imagine there is any shitty weed, maybe midgrade stuff being passed of as high grade, but defintely no mexican brick shit, which I and all my friends avoid like the plague that nasty seedy harsh crap excuse for weed is...good luck anyway and enjoy!!

 

Uk dont know your sizes and costs but even if you do get ripped off and get $10 worth its your first try its gonna feel like 20's worth. do the deal and make up your own mind if its worth it to you.

 

It really depends on how honost this guy is. If he is trying to be cool and give you a good deal, or is he taking advantage of you because you do not know what to expect.

I would ask him for a price on a eigth (1/8th of an oz 3.5 grams) of bud next time. That is a pretty standerd ammount. Then you will know how much you are getting, when you say I want 20 worth you are leaveing it up to him to decide what is fair,

 

^^^^ agree with the above post,also ask another friend who smokes if you know any, what an 1/8th oz.. (3.5grams goes for around there), It is Canada and I assume you know at least one other person who smokes weed or does on occasion at least!!

 

What is PCP? What is the purpose of lacing it? Does it make you high so people like me(new to smoking) assume its weed, but in reality its just this cheaper PCP chemical?

 

PCP is Phenacyclidine a dissacoative anestetic similar but not as good as ketamine, It was used as a animal tranquilzer in the past, but the animals were "disturbed and all" after it, so they quit using it. It is apparently cheap to make and is typically made in LA by street gang members and in northern California by other people, and it is a drug that is sometimes used to lace low grade weed with to make it seem stronger! it is in a liquid form or a crystal powder or a dirty powdered form and is a dangerous drug, some people who smoke it in quantity will flip out, fight cops,etc. .and while under the effects of a strong dose they feel no pain, and have super strength in a way, and can have a broken arm,with the bone sticking out in plain sight and still fight and not feel it!! Thats the bad stuff that can happen to somone who uses PCP a lot or in high doses, read about PCP or phenacyclidine on the vaults of erowid or on wikipedia...the amount used on lacing weed somewhat mimics the effects of weed , although it is a different high even in low doses..Not trying to scare you, it's most commonly done in the US in ghetto area by gang members and I doubt Canada has a lot of people lacing weed with PCP,although I'm sure their is PCP in Canada..lol..actually I smoked a joint laced with PCP when I was 13, which is 20 years ago..lol.and after a few hits I felt good, but I knew it was laced by the taste and smell, just not what it was laced with until after..lol..I have smoked it intentionaly about 5 or 6 times since then, being careful about my doseage, and I actually enjoy it once a year or something..lol..do not worry though...I doubt dude is gonna do that to you, maybe mix in tobacco ,dunno, maybe he will be cool and give you some fat joints of the good buds...I would rather have a pipe though if I were you, it wastes less weed,and you can not hit it anymore once you are high..lol..instead of having to put out a joint and all that!!
