I used to read a ton, but now I'm in college and average about a half hour a day. It's sad, and I miss it, but reading is what I'll be doing all winter break! ~Nova
i write more than i read since i'm a free-lance writer, but i love to read, i go in spurts sometime i have 3 to 4 books going at the same time. angel
i barley read but lately iv'e been reading a grateful dead bio. and i only read 20min at night to get me to fall asleep
recently i left public school and started homeschooling (though i'm a junior) so i've had a bunch of time to read, in the past week i read 4 books, normally on the subject of the counter-culture movement in the 50's-60s. The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test was my most recent finish, i must say it was excellent!
Too much. Although being an English major, most of the reading is required, which sucks. I can't wait until this winter break so I can finally jump into something that I'm actually interested in. First on the list is "One Hundred Years of Solitude"...then, I'm going to raid my little brother's bookshelf and begin the first Harry Potter book. I'm finally caving in to the temptation...
It depends a lot. Now that it's winterbreak, I've been reading a lot. But during termtime, I just don't have enough time to read anything else except stuff for my courses.
I used to read a lot, but not as much anymore. My excuse would be that I don't have time... but apparently, I've been wasting a lot of my free time on this site! If I get a good book, I'll read all day. So, it really depends on what I'm reading I guess.
I havent read much these past few weeks, but I usually read every day, depending on what time I have left for leisure readings after I finish work for class.
1 to 4 hours a day, depending on what all I have to do. Unless you count what I read on the net, then you can tack on another 7 to 8 hours.
I'm still trying to find the motivation to finish Malcolm X The Autobiography, which I've had since April last year, so I can't actually answer your question honestly... =(*
This isn't usually my forum, but I've had the opportunity to read a book titled "The Assassin". I'm about halfway through, so don't spoil the ending for me Up until now though, my answer to this thread would have been "0". But I seem to have found reading is a lot like riding a bicycle, you never forget how. I curently spend about 3 hours a day with a book cracked, maybe I'll try to reincarnate the habit permanently.
It depends on how into a book I am. I can go anywhere from none to 4 or 5 + hours if I have nothing else to do. I try to get in at least an hour. It is better than meditation for me.
i'm usually up by 330 and i never go to work before 7 so as to not wake the family i read ..........while they watch tv i read and during the day i go to the coffee shop and guess what ..i read again ..total for me would be at least 4-6 hours a day ..but not always books ..i read the 2 daily newspapers too ............on the weekends sometimes a bit more depending .....one thing i never have to worry about is to run out of material .......i have about 6600 books at home
