i change the station now when it comes on... i used to be a hardcore fan, i even attended the memorial in Seattle when he died... but i heard it too much im burnt out now on them. Just too depressing for me now.
Don't knock the great influences. Nirvana changed the face of rock and roll. Next you'll be bad-mouthing Zepplin and sayin' the Beatles sucked. You have no sense of history. I suppose you could say "fuck history", but the futurist movement did that, and they all became facists. Just keep that in mind.
right on tencentarcade! that has to be the best thing ive heard outa you yet! lol, jk its true though, they did change rock and all that, but they're not someone i listen to
Obviously you haven't read my 1542 other posts. Like that time I called Lodui a ninny bitch. That was funny.
Zeppelin Sucked even though they had trippy effect pedals. The Beatles sucked even though they had crappy poetry. And Nirvana sucked even though they didn't give enough of a fuck to tune their guitars. (except for when they did Unplugged, they actually didn't suck that one time.) All that distortion and grunge shit might have sold records to kiddies, but it was a big pose and it sucked big time. They might have changed the effects pedals used in commercial rock n roll, but commercial rock n roll has always sucked, and they didn't change that. Next time I hear some kid who thinks they have good taste because they listen to old shitty overpimped music instead of new shitty overpimped music that kid gets a kidney punch. And seriously people, professional musicians do not know the secret of life, so stop worshipping them like they're gurus or something. Also, for your information: The Grateful Dead sucked, and Phish sucks even more. Even a drunk bum belting out Amazing Grace sounds cool when you're on 100 mics of LSD, that doesn't make it great music. (Although, a drunk bum belting out Amazing Grace is in fact great music compared to the Dead or any other overhyped band I've mentioned) Great music is real. And it's more common than you think, but one person or band just can't produce enough real music for the record companies to take notice, and record companies don't like real music anyways cause most people don't listen to music, they listen to musicians. Ok, you can all hate me now, but only if you suck.
Here I go sticking my head into the lions den.. Now that you both agreed that you hate all this "commercial" old music. 1. I would love to hear your favorite bands now that you have cut out a few of the most influential. 2."They might have changed the effects pedals used in commercial rock n roll, but commercial rock n roll has always sucked, and they didn't change that." How the hell is Led Zeppelin, the Beatle, or Nirvana commercial rock. Except for the beatles, most of these bands were not mainstream in their day until later in their careers, the pop music of the day was terrible. And by the way Jimmy Page rarely used pedals cept for the wah he had. I have seen many shows were the only pedal on stage he uses is the wah and the switch pedal for his amp. 3. I admire musicians for their skill and creativity. 4. "Great music is real. And it's more common than you think, but one person or band just can't produce enough real music for the record companies to take notice, and record companies don't like real music anyways cause most people don't listen to music, they listen to musicians." Nice clear statement, what are you my retarted guru? 5. Tom Waits can suck my balls, while smoking. actually no I like Tom Waits but I figure I had to in some way take a stab at TenCentArcade.
Oh yea, and I like Nirvana but Idont really listen to them anymore due to he overkill on the radio. I was so glad in middle school that they were around though cause the replaced all the bad New Kids on the Block shit on the radio. Amen for that. Every now and then I'll put on Incesticide.
I don't listen to bands, I just listen to music wherever I find it. Seriously. I haven't bought a cd (other than my friend's band's cd to be nice) or downloaded a song that isn't funny in over two years. I just listen to the stuff now, I don't give a fuck who wrote it, I judge every song on it's own merit. I don't even know the names of the musicians who made the last ten songs I heard that I liked. That's just my approach to music and my opinion on music, and screw you if you don't like it because you are wrong and I am right and nothing will ever change that!
