A news clip said that many people in the U.S. set two alarm clocks. I guess that's in case one doesn't work and you don't want to be late for work. .
One. It does have a battery back up in case the power is out so that I can't use it as an excuse for not getting up.
I knew someone in University that had us all phone her if she had to get up early. She would wake to the ringing of a phone but not her alarm.
No she wasn't. She was that deep a sleeper. Her mom would literally run the vac in her room and she did not budge. We called as she was part of the group and asked us to, no biggy, we were up!
Not really. If I did not actually know how sound this person slept, it would of made me wonder why I was calling someone in the mornings. Her Mom, if she was home to wake her up would make her sit up and put her feet on the floor. It was the only way to make sure she got up. I have never seen anyone sleep the way she did. So as I said, no issue.
I have one to wake me up when needed, the other is fueled by batteries in case the power goes out. I had crazy alarm clocks going when i worked graveyards.
just the one. the backup battery's dead, so i'm sure eventually there will be a disaster, but so far when the power goes out i've woken on time anyway. i'm a pretty light sleeper, i wake up constantly throughout the night anyway.
