masht tatoes, steamed brocliiii, at this place called Anthonys they have Meatless Mannicotti (yuum) with hot garlic bread and it comes with a side of salad, its not that big either.
    :( now I'm hungry!
any way, there are alot of great meatless things at restaurants you just have to be dedicated in finding them and then being open minded enough to give em a try. But don't put yourself in the middle of a steak house and expect to have 30 vegetarian dishes brought to your feet.

a lot of times you can ask for a dish without the meat in it. i do that allll the time. often times there will be veggi soups and stuff like that, and if worst comes to worst, then salad isn't all that bad!

I was *trying* for a long time to stop eating meat. There really just comes a time when the reason for change (boycotting cruelty, whatever it is) becomes bigger than the issue of food only. And then it becomes easier. Atleast that was true for me. Also once I stopped eating meat I actually started eating alot healthier and finding new things I like since I had to go out of my way to search for alternatives.

Honestly, being a vegetarian is a PIECE OF CAKE! Eggplant parmigiana, pasta with marinara sauce, vegetable fried rice, tofu pad thai, veggie burgers, hot dog on a stick now has veggie dog on a stick, veggie subs, baked potatoes/fries/mashed, hummus, falafel pitas...the list is limitless. Try experimenting with ethnic foods like thai or chinese or medietrranean. ALOT of vegetarian choices.

Go to your local Whole Foods or organic grocer and get Gardenburger meatless riblets, the chick'n is good too. Whatever. IT IS SOOOO EASY. I'm vegan and that's considerably harder. I don't understand how hard it can be to just not order food that has flesh in it. Just specify you don't want any dead animals in whatever dish you like. So simple.

see?see? (related to the Vegetarian lifestyle's uncreasing rapidly thread)

Well....back to topic, I love my pasta! And don't they have mashed potazoes, beans, etc....in the places where you live? I once had an omlet filled with spinache and saurkraut around it (ewww...felt sick in the car...)
There's gotta be something on the manu....cheese pizza? Macoroni and cheese? Vegetable soup? Broccoli soup?? Potato pancakes?
And there's not one menu I know of that doesn't have anything vegetarian on it...(unless it's like a bbq place...or seafood resteraunt...)

just order pastas without the meat, alot of tortilini pastas and ravioli pastas are just cheese filled, so ask not to put the meat, whatever it may be.

But my one question to all you vegitarians that eat "veggi" soups. Almost all vegitable soups are usually made with beef or chicken base in them, how do you know your veggi soup may not have these things in them, do you ask every time?

You can taste the difference. I know...you're talking about the ones they put meat in for the flavoring, but knowing america, this is only true if it sais 'homemade'. Otherwise...yeah, we ask. But if you're talking about the ones in grocery stores, well....the'e's a thing called the 'ingrediance label'! :p
