I mean, you can't see the road, as well as the instrument cluster, speedometer, fuel gauge. I was following someone a week ago at night down a poorly lit winding road for about 10 minutes and they had their lights off the whole time. .
its a full moon i used to work graveyards and every once in a while at 1am it was so light u can see everything. except maybe animals ya know. good driver pay attention to everything. fuck em lights
Some people are simply more gifted than the rest of us and do not require lights on after dark! I personally think that they do not wish to see what they are either going to hit or what is going to hit them.
I'd like to hear the alibi of the driver when he gets pulled over. "But officer, it was a full moon tonight!" .
Officer: I'm also citing you for a loud exhaust. Driver: I keep it loud so that people can hear me coming at night with my lights off. .
I see lots of morons here with just their daytime lights on....up here our cars are equipped with dimmer daytime lights and stupid people dont realize their regular arent on.....and the daytime module does not power the tail lights or dash you gotta be a real idiot to drive like that
I drive with my lights on in the day, cause i used to live in the forest.. its dark there in the summer overhead sun, til the woolly caterpillars came and killed everything.. now your car needs sun screen.
I drove with my lights on today and when I came out of the store after shopping for almost an hour the battery was still good enough to start it back up
That's another good excuse. I drive with my lights off because it precludes the possibility of me having a dead battery when forgetting to turn them off. .
another excuse could be that its not their regular car...many of my cars have had automatic headlights that come on when they need too whether I turn them on or not...and then I forget when I hop into another one that doesnt do that
I did once by accident, comin home from my buddy's house drunk off my ass.on a back road, bad deer area, had the hi beams on.car came towards me,so I hit the switch on the floor(I drive an old ford pickup)to go down to lo,the switch broke off,& everything went.ran off the road twice tryin to find the 4ways.I didn't know that 1 little switch grounds everything.my ol lady saw my drunk ass comin into town with just the hazards, she thought I'd had it..made er home tho lol
What Year Model Is Your Pickup..?? I Have Had Lots Of Cars, Trucks, Etc, Here On My Farm Over The Years, And The Last Vehicle I Drove With A Floor Mounted Dimmer Switch, Was A 1950 Ford Customline *single spinner* Which My Parents Handed Down To Me..... Cheers Glen.
It's easy to forget in well-lit city streets. Seeing people with lights off on a dark winding road is spooky though. Certainly the cops don't like it. In addition to being a traffic hazard it looks like someone is trying to conceal identity. A burned out license plate lamp ticks off the cops too. .
I was debating about driving without headlights tonights...something was wonky with my trailer attached and if i turned on my lights the cruise control would kick off I decided to be safe though and opened a lens and found a wire strand was touching the other contact strip causing it to feedback power to my brake pedal switch (that cuts off the cruise) all that work in a parking lot in a strange town and I got home before it was dark anyways
