i was just coming inside from having a cig and as I step in this big ass spider falls off the bottom of my coat and on my carpet. I picked him up really carefully cuz i think he's poisonous and he's sitting on my computer desk in front of me right now. ^-^ he's cute and furry...I will name him Sir Lancelot, cuz he was my fav. off monty python and the holy grail...kinda random, but what the hell.
i'm not gonna smash him...if he bit me i would but i moved him into one of the houseplants...dunno if its a good idea...oh well, he'll kill the little bugs in there.
That's cool. There's a spider living in my bathroom, been there quite a while now. Glad you did'nt just smash him.
another spider just walked back in the house with me...the same kind only smaller...he must be looking for Sir Lancelot...
Spiders are awsome. This thread just reminded me now of the dream I had last night where i got a big hairy tarantula as a pet. Heheh, my dreams have 0 relevance to anything going on in my life, which makes them so great =P I dont see whats so icky about bugs and spiders... just like animals but smaller...
the apartment me and two friends moved into for school has the biggest wolf spiders i've ever seen... some of the bigger ones have been three and a half inches across. its gotten to the point where the girl we live with, Jamie, who happens to be an intense arachnaphobe, doesn't even flinch about killing regular size spiders (when a month ago she would of been crying). spiders don't bother me at all tho
I have no idea why, but I am really scared of spiders. I have them in my attic and they come down sometimes and scare the hell out of me.
A friend of mine was once doing something with a white out pen in his basement when a huge spider dangled itself right in front of his face. Naturally entranced, he put a large white dot on the spider's body, and named it something I can't remember (but was obviously very cool). The next day, he saw the spider again walking around the walls. He continued to see it off and on for several months atleast...and still refers to it as his friend.
Thats a cool story Sun Free I think I would like your friend very much. I too try to catch them and take them out to the flowerbed or the garden. I live in the woods so spiders abound. We have huge wood spiders here also and had to stop bringing in wood with bark on it and storing it in the house, we keep it outside the door now and only bring in whats going in the woodstove right then, the spiders like to stay under the bark. But it is facinating to watch a spider build a web. teepi
