I'm not sure it's up to your ANY period teacher. Unfortunately, I don't think you'll do better with whoever does have the power (principal, school board, superintendent, whoever.) Sad considering all of them are probably my age or younger, and we were once into such things. Good luck.
Wear a really long skirt, something with extra fabric. If no one can see you feet, everyone will assume your have shoes on.
Another way to stay under the radar: barefoot sandals. They look like footwear, but the soles stay bare. wiggling toes, ~*Ganesha*~
you could possibly make an arrangement with your principal about it, you could like offer to write a paper/essay on barefootness, the misconceptions of the health issue with barefeet, your principles about not wearing shoes, and so on and so forth.
people at my school do it all the time. just go to school. don't wear shoes. when they ask you to put some on, explain that you're doing nothing wrong, and continue to not wear shoes.
Make it less noticeable as others have suggested or just be shoeless whenever you can get away with it (carry around a pair with you in your bag) The whole thing is a stupid idea anyway I personally suggest you give up.
The principles are tightwads too.the priciple looks in her 40s but might be older. And the assistant principle is about 60
Maybye some of the teachers don't mind cos their used to flower children and are around us every day. On tuesday when i get back from winter break i'm gonna go to school barefoot and if teachers question me I will say i am protesting shoes because i feel sorry for the little boy or girl that made their shoes. If other students ask me i will say that i am trying to become independent by making my own clothes and growing my own food.I'm pretty sure that will confuse them.
I'm going back to highschool for a semester, so I may try it. I've done it before, once for a cosplay (costume play. an anime thing) and once when we were shooting for a media arts project.
That's two of you with excellent news for the original poster. One from Earth, and one from Suburbia! Can you let us know which parts of those locations you have such freedom at schools? I'd really love to know.
