Ok, so a few weeks ago I was totally stoned, and I thought of this idea. What if modern day people got a big secluded jungle-like area, inhabit it with two people who have never been exposed to society, let them populate the area and just watch what happens? We could see how humans are naturally supposed to act and we can study them and stuff, i thought it'd be trippy. just thought i'd share :cheers2:
Yeah, that shit is pretty hot, though... And then, maybe, like, interfere with their evolutionary process and shit. Come thru in a helicopter while they speakin' they jibber-jabber caveman language and have'em thinkin' we angels in flyin' saucers. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
that's true, i didn't mean it in a completely literal sense the concept of it just tripped me out. i found it to be an interesting thing to think about, how humans are so altered by general society.
yeah, but if you wanted them to never have been exposed to society, you would have to put them in there when they're babies, and they would obviously starve and die
we could put them in a completely sythentic environment where everything is available to them and see what happens to them THEN!!
if they survive long enough to create a true population, then they'll probably just evolve into what we are now after a few million years.
i realize, as was i. how awkward would that be if you were hiding in a tree, and then they cut it down and like.. you were just there. they'd be all like
so.. you think that every single society in this world has had contact outside their community? there are still indigenous tribes that have little or no interaction with modern society... a majority of them are probably cannibals..
Ah, I heard about this tribe, it's pretty amazing. And no of course I don't think every society has outside contact lol. I know that there are places like that which already exist. I probably worded my first post quite wrong. It reflects my initial thoughts while I was stoned but of course I knew that realistically it would be cruel and that there are already a lot of those secluded tribes out there. I also just realized how interesting it would be to see it all happen from the start. I'm just amazed at how altered we are from living in this society.
As for the whole camera deal, why not just incorporate them into their surroundings, they have never seen the world before or know what a camera is, they will just think its some mystery that is supposed to be there much like all the unanswered questions we still have today.
as am I you should look up jean jaques rousseau, a french philsopher during the 1700's. he talked about how he thought humans were good and pure to start with, but were corrupted by society.
