I heard that specific house plants filter the air and do a better job than other species, is this true? If it is, could someone recommend to me the best known species to help filter air, dust, oder etc. -Thank You
Spider plants, ficus, pothos (I think). My Bio prof said that spider plants are good at removing organics from the air. Basically any of the cheesy supermarket houseplants will do it.
you have to keep them clean though.. as they get dusty, they die.. The more plants you have indoors the more your air will be clean..
there is actually a book on it. It is awsome, I can't remember what it is called. The best ones were from the palms, ferns, and ficus family. But palms were definitly #1 If I talk to my sis in a bit i'll let you know but im sure it you search the net you'll find some sites.

sure, the plants in the above list work definetly, and the choice depend on the usage and environment.
