with no intention of being offensive, i have to agree wholeheartedly with mr. migu in saying: instead of running away, do what you can to fix your problems! with bush re-elected, your first response is to abandon your country?
i am in no way excited about the idea of a huge influx of americans moving up here.

the only time you hear, "don't abandon your country" is when it's coming from the mouth of a canadian? how sad. do you truly not believe in standing by your country?

 

nitemare, not all americans are that bad, not all of em are that great either but still, we're really not that different, PLUS the only americans that would be moving up here to escape bush would be sensible 'left-ish' leaning americans, which are exactly teh kind of people we want up here. whats wrong with having a few thousand more hippies to help our anti war efforts? think about it, they'll only be improving our economy and and giving us a larger foot hold on worl affairs plus help to make canada a more peaceful country....teh americans that would be moving up here to escape bush obviously all STRONGLY disagree with bush enough to take action, i say those are exactly the kind of people we need. come one, come all, welcome to canada.
and in all honesty, i would 'marry' an american if i trusted them enough, to help them escape america and immigrate here.
and as far as that whole draft thing, yes we've signed somehting saying if a draft comes about we'll hand the people back over to the states, BUT, if they're already a canadian citizen, then they can't get drafter, which is only more reason to move up here sooner rather than later.

 

well paul martin and bush plan on having 'future talks' on border control...so you americans better be coming up sooner then later

i dont see how a few thousand more people sitting under a tree smoking pot and playing guitar all day is going to help our economy

you don't seem to realize how important pot is to our economy...as far as taking your tree....well....they can plant new ones.
