Im about to be starting to be homeschooled because I just moved and the schools here are completely different that where I come from. Its somethin I have been considering doing for a long time tho. I was just wondering what are some of the good/legit programs I could get into. Or what are the ones to avoid. And also, do u HAVE to have someone teach it to u. I have a friend that teaches herself but I have heard that is really hard. I know i def want to be homeschooled, no matter how hard it is, I just dont know about which program to get myself into....

I'm homeschooled, and my mom teaches me. I have these things called lifepacs, but since were Christian we get them at this Christian store. I forgot the name, so sorry, but I know it starts with a M. I think it's called Mardels or something like that.

All I can say is that if your Christian then these would work out. If I were you I'd start trying to figure out if there are any Homeschool gartherings (yes they have those). And ask were they get there stuff.

I hope that helps, well good luck and Peace out! :)

What subjects do you like the best?
What's your time schedule like? Do you have a job that takes up alot of time?
Are you going to unschool or do you want a more traditional school program?

    What state are you in?

You probably need to research the laws, if you haven't already, to find out what you should/shouldn't do.
For example, if your state has strict guidelines and if you want to use a curriculum, you would have a much easier time than unschooling in a highly regulated state.

Our state, Illinois, has VERY relaxed guidelines, which makes it a wonderfully easy state for unschooling. :)

Here is a link to check out the laws in your state.

In response to Zassou..Im not Christian so I dont think that would be good for me, thanks for the help tho, I will def look into those homeschooling gatherings.

In response to squawkers...I prefer Language/Reading and sometimes Geography. My time schedule is pretty relaxed, I am however trying to find a job. It would only be part time tho. And, I didnt even kno what unschooling was until u said something and I looked it up. It sounds very interesting but I think I would rather just finish school in the traditional way that Im used to. (Minus the actual going to school bit..LoL)

In response to Rainbow...Im in the state of Georgia, and I just looked up the laws, dont understand many of them :S but they dont seem too bad. And Im not even sure if i want to be unschooled or not. I think i just want to get a curriculum and teach myself the material...do u know if that is possible? Because in the laws it said somethin about my parents need to have a high school diploma or a GED so they can teach me, but they dont have time to and I just want to do it on my own anyways cuz I have always preferred teaching myself the material at school anyway.

Thanks for the replies, hopefully I hear back from u soon cuz I am in a bit of a bind :/ I need to get started with this asap. Well, Im bout to do some more research on it, thanks again :D
