Homemade Vaporizer

hey, I finished my vaporizer! made with a bulb, the top of a bottle, some aquarium tubing and electric tape. Also a hot glue gun (or some sealant)

Really the tubes and tube lengths are merely for aesthetic reasons

Might I ask as to how you managed to cut the top off, I have never been able to without it shattering. Then again, it was attempted with a kitchen knife. Let us know how it works.

 

well hello...im back...it rips good, very good. trust me thhe vaporizer was easy to build, ill post instructions but not now, wouldnt come out too well... do it tomorrow.


first, i have to say that i had already smoked like at 4 and its 9:30 now... so i was still a bit stoned, coming out really, and i was recovering from a mj headache.... so when i felt better , just moments ago, i vaporized..... well its good, it hits like a god, and i dont know how to put it in words.... someone said its more of a headtrip, yeah i guess, its not as involving as smoking, and you "feel" it more like with your eyes, yes head area, headtrip, well said. its like im tripping out like crazy, and hearing music, and its just my head thats involved not my body, cuz i dont feel myself being pulled to the music, by getting up and dancing you know? im tripping, but in my head, my its just not so isolated

i have to try on some other day, fresh, and see how that is.... its different, thats cool.

i feel you could vaporize a lot and be completely stoned but you wouldnt show it as much or be as paranoid cuz you're a bit more in touch with reality, only that you are tripping..

wel tahts enough, some ppl like details and im trying my best, plus im as high as a donkey and just wow.

Instructions

1. get your light bulb and some knife, i used an old swiss army blade, which is sorta blunt, but the only tough thing is penetrating. try at like 1/4 to 1/2 an inch up and poke thru the metal, once you did that, try some leverage to slice the rest off.... not to hard... be firm but gentle

2. ok, now break the bit of glass that holds the wires, i did it with a screwdriver. again gently bash bash bash. remove everything and go rinse the insides why don't you. then i put electric tape around the opening, practically in vertical strips one end touching the outside glass and curling inwards touching the glass inside and finally a horizontal strip to fasten down all the strips on the outside (this is oprtional)

3. with the knife or whatever break the top most part of a plastic bottle of coke or something and make 2 holes in it.... i did it with the screwdriver and then with a pen to make the holes bigger. i then placed the tube (aquarium tubes) to suck on just barely inside and secured with some silicone. the other tube was wrapped with electric tape, thought maybe it would protect it, and placed it inside, some distance from the glass and again secured with silicone.

4. now i placed this bottle thingie on the opening of the bulb...the electric tape around the bulb will prevent its heating up and melting the plastic and then secured with electric tape, around and around up to where the cap touches the ring of plastic down to the glass where it starts to bend.

5. vaporize the fuck out of your weed. just unscrew the cap, careful with the tubes, place your weed and close. now bring the lighter or candle to the bulb, barely touching if at all, and wait for it to start misting... i found that if you suck a bit, gently, just to stir up the weed a bit, it'll help it vaporize... do it til it fills up and suck it in slowly...you'll take massive hits, i found myself coughing cuz of the huge hits.... once you start hitting remove the flame and it will continue to mist, for a total of 2 maybe 3 hits. repeat until brown.

of course that is just my technique done only one one ocasion.

the clear tube, the one you suck on, i left it that long because i wanted to see what was going on inside...the black one... whatever you could make the outside part much shorter, could cut it off whenever, but can't be bothered to do so

i dont know why you need 2 tutbes, for a carb? cant you just hold the hole like a pipe?

 

fuck yea you need a carb, but i find it way easier to plug both holes while waiting to vape the buds, and do not use a candle, it leaves a black material on the bottom of the lightbulb and it burns slower and tastes funny.

 

yes you need the second tube to act as an indispensable carb, to assist in sucking in the vapors... i find i do that, too, that covering both entrances.... i haven't tried it with a candle, just a lighter....

i just did in again, haha, i sorta burned myself twice, clumsy me i guess... *careful with the bulb it gets hot, and also the lighter remains hot after vaporizing... hehe.

it's quite different than smoking

its like your body isnt absorbed or engulfed with the weed, it just affects your head. definitely worth checking out...wouldn't totally replace it with smoking, i also love that body engulfing part of it.

one question though, does it "hit" you slower? I mean, does it take longer to fully feel the effects??? could somebody please tell me this???

Yeah, some of me friends just spent $150 on a vape and it always hits me slower. And it is a different kind of high, it feels more 'up-ish' to me, almost as if I physically feel as if I'm being pulled up when I'm walking and such, as opposed to feeling pushed down like after smoking a bowl. I think it feels less overwhelming but very intense, if that makes any sense, and I also find I have a lot more energy.

 

i bought a vapouriser but it didnt get me high and i was there for like half an hour so i just took out my pot and put it in my bong. so im a bit pissed off, does anyone know why i didnt get high?? sorry if im stealing thi thread...

yes paintballer, thats a good description... it is hard to explain, its really different, but i would never totally replace it with smoking, i love that overwhelming feeling. It seems that physically you could do whatever you wanted, but you're still tripping balls.


oh and peace, were you seeing the white mist?? were you holding it in long enough? did it taste like you were sucking in more than just air? and what effects did you feel if any at all??

 

yes yes and yes lol. it may have been because i dont know what a vape high is like...just means i will hav to try again later, oh no lol

i was with my friends friends when they pulled out a vape and i had no clue what it was...my friend went before me so i just wathed him do it so i wouldn't look like a dumbshit, and i dunno i guess i just did it, wasn't hard

 

hmmm....i might not have let it heat for long enough so i will try leavin it for longer

word of advice, especially for those with homemade vaporizers, don't let it burn, it defeats the purpose...if this happens, increase the distance between the flame and the glass.... this happened to me twice yesterday and pissed me off bad, wouldn't stop smoking and was worried about the smoke coming out..i couldn't put the fucker out either

 

dont let it burn but dont be scared to leave the flame in place for a good fixed amount of time, other wise you end up like the guy above, with hot weed that didnt get you stoned...

 

Peace, I'm not sure wht kind of vape you have, but if its the kind with a whip that you hold up to a glass heating tube, make sure you can see the metal in the glass glowing red. When you hit it, be sure you're actually hitting something. Sometimes its easy to not feel the vapor going into your lungs, but you can definitely see the smoke when you exhale.

The home made vape is pretty nifty looking. I tried to vape some herb in a glass blunt tube, but then it started melting and I realized it was just funky plastic =(

 

I vap mine untill it is very well done, and just starts to burn, cause I dont vap cause its healthier, i just like to switch things up now and again...

One thing to add... I too use electric tape like that, but you should put a layer or two of duct tape under the electrical tape, my first lightbulb was only electrical tape, and when we had 3 people use it it got hot enough to melt all the tape, and the top and bottom came seperated.
