HOLY CRAP - You're what age and having sex?

Holy Crap - I just saw a link where a 13 year old came out as bi-sexual - he's having sex with guys and girls. What the f*** was wrong with me? I was out of high school before I had sex. I know it was a long time ago - but have things changed THAT much? This kid must have been 11 or 12 when he started.

I'm not even sure sex it good for a 13 year old - it can cause a lot of baggage you may not be ready for.

Is this the norm these days?

Oh yeah - that's right. I was being a kid. I'm not even sure you really qualify as being a kid once you start having sex. Kinda sad really. Being a kid was really pretty cool.

 

I think its sad how kids now days go out and have sex, just to be doing it. When I was 13 I knew nothing about sex. I was to busy being a kid also. And being a kid is alot more fun than being an adult....I also think you should be in love with someone before you have sex with them....

 

Well actually at age 13 I came pretty close to having sex, fingering in a hot tub lol

 

I dunno, I really think 13 is way to young but on the other hand I started when I was 15, it really didn't change things that much in my life back then, still had time to be a kid, it just added another facet to life..

I wanted to get my experience in when I was like 13 or so, didn't until I was 17.

I think as disgusting as it is to many of us, it's changed way less than we think.

Studies show that the average loss of virginity is around 15 for females and 17 for males.

It's gone down maybe 3 years on average since the 60s.

 

I think it was about 15 when I thought I had to have sex - but I too was 17 or 18.

Still there are certain benchmarks in life afterwhich you can never go back - starting school - becoming a teenager - smoking dope - getting married - kids - but maybe the most significant is having sex. You pass from a kid to that foggy time of life between kid-dom and adulthood. It's kinda like the loss of innocence

 

Having sex is the loosing of innocence, all kids what to loose innocence but when they do - like all of us, just want to be a kid again. I wanted to have sex at 13 - but wasn't ready as all 13 year olds aren't. I didn't have my first sexual encounter until early to mid 15s.

 

I don't think that 13 years old is representative of the average. I would say that is closer to 16 or 17.

 

i dunno.... i didn't get any action until i was 15 but then i didn't have sex until i was 18 and well past the awkward stages of young-adulthood.

however, if i'd been a little more knowledgeable then maybe i wouldn't have been such a slut at 18. i had sex with so many different girls and didn't have a meaningful relationship with any of them. its kind of sad, really.

 

Funny isn't it - I know guys want sex more than air at 15, 16, 17 with anyone on two legs. Then when we look back it's sorta sad. There usually was'nt any love involved which is really the coolest way to have sex. And - even when we realize the truth of careing for the one you sleep with lots of guys will still jump in the sack with some unknown person - It's like using them for sperm disposal. I don't know about how chicks feel.

 

The chicks these days are starting to feel like they're missing out and trying to get some of their own disposal going..

 

Yeah, I'm from that generation. I was having regular sex since 11 - with my hand.

But I was about 19 before I had sex with another person, a Mexican prostitute after I was in the Air Force.

 

Seems to me that back before the civil war when the wagons were going west that it was not unusual for teenaged girls to get married. At any rate, teenage sex is not new but there is probably more of it these days.

 

Good point - though I think the relationship was much more monitored - plus the kids had been through trying times which forced them into a real adult world much earlier that kids these days which often want adult priviledges without adult responsibilities.

 

I was 15, and to be fair although I was in a proper relationship- or at least what you consider 'proper' at that age. Lasted 2 and a half years nonetheless.

13 is fucked up to me even still. Said it in the other thread and will say it again. I agree with Ddoright, people don't want to fess up to the responsibility.

13 year olds girls can still get pregnant. This is a consequence of sex, let's not forget that.

 

Yeah, when i started reading this thread i was thinking the same thing. I was having sex with the Sears catalog 8 years before i had real sex! And quite often i might add.

 

11, 12, 13 is too young !
