How's everyone been?

I've been, idiosyncratic and quixotic. All over the place, yet not going far. It's a long story.

All things considered I'm doing well. Thought I'd drop in and say hello to my hip pals.

Seriously though, I've had a lot on my mind, I've started focusing on something I'm writing, I'm going back to school, and I've survived going crazy. Damned crazy, not normal everday crazy.

Nice to have you back but next time, can you please keep in mind that there are stupid foreign people here as well who don't understand your fancy vocabulary (and are too lazy to consult the English-Finnish dictionary! :&)

 

You're not dumb at all Jo. I wish I was bilingual.

Idisyncratic means a lot of details or complicated.

Quixotic means overly romatic, rushing into things head first.

 

You can have my Finnish if I can have your good looks. :H

Now if only I knew how to pronounce quixotic... :&

actually, that doesn't sound right for idiosyncratic. i thought it meant something like unique, singular, complicated probably fits well, though. i'm going to have to look it up...

got this off dictionary.com: peculiar to the individual; "we all have our own idiosyncratic gestures"; "Michelangelo's highly idiosyncratic style of painting"

 

you know, i've always just pronounced it like "exotic" with a "qu-" at the front, like "kwixotic"
