    Hey yall i've been wondering,

when people post stuff on this forum is there a dea agent looking over it? Like when someone says "i got 2 hits of acid", are they likely to see the police at their door? i love this site and personally if law enforcement is watching over this site it is sick because the founders of this provided us these forums for our use to get information, support, socialization, etc. But anyway, here's my disclaimer: i do nothing illegal

police have been watching this site for years, but i think by now they may have given up more or less. i dont know of any actuall arrests connected to this place, but then it wouldnt necessarily be brought to our attention. when a member disappears, it may be they dont want to post here anymore, or it may be cause something happened to them (death, illness, no more computer, incarceration)

yes, we KNOW cops are here though. but simple words are not enough to get you arrested normally, and as long as you use common sense nothing you say here will get you in trouble. in other words, do not use hipforums to commit any crimes, and you can't be busted for what you simply claim.

    look at this:

i just pressed a total of 30,000 high dose tablets of MDA with my pill press i keep in my basement.

just cause i said it, doesnt make it true. and in this case its no where close to true. i dont have a press, don't know how to use one, and certainly have no source of pure mda. the government knows this, and even though american freedom of speech is merely a myth (we do NOT have it and anyone who claims otherwise is stupid, silly, or ignorant) this IS speech protected by the constitution. even if the statement i just made were true, saying so online is NOT probable cause and no cop would ever show up at my door for these reasons. even photos of you near or using drugs cannot get you in trouble, except possibly with schools.

still, its like having grateful dead stickers on your automobile. sure, its not against the law to have them, its just kinda stupid, because law enforcement will be watching you a little bit closer, and will be more likely to pull you over. so, if you post pictures of yourself with a 4 foot bong, or next to a field of cannabis plants, its probably not the smartest thing to do.

true, but they cannot and willnot pursue you for simply stating that you use drugs or are growing a few plants or anything like that, and putting someone under surveillance for such claims would be illegal because its not probable cause. rather, if this is to be used against us, they will either solicit drugs or request drugs...they have to actually CATCH you doing an illegal activity, and luckily the law is set up so that they can't catch you merely for saying you grow/use marijuana, mushrooms, etc.

Which is why you NEVER sell, give, etc. to someone who asks for drugs online. Well said.

who would pay a federal agent (for hipforums is global.. hirding a state police officer would be unfeasable because of hte range of posts) to surf forums in the incredibly odd chance that they will get wind of an actual deal at all, and then the smaller chance that teh deal would go through as planned ina way that could be arrested

and another reason to stay quiet about RC companes.
I operate as if I KNOW the DEA monitors hits on our system.
The actual chance is quite small, but when one promotes a "psychedelic" art business, one gains more than positive attention. Since I also wrote newspaper columns promoting legalization for a stretch, and personally belong to serveral organizations promoting cognitive liberty and legaliztion, the small chance is there.
A direct warrant from HF info? not bloody likely.
    Thickening an existing file? perhaps.
Various drug task forces looking for current slang, trends and what we are asking about. Probable.
    our tax dollars at work.
BTW, the DEA's Micro-gram is now declassified. It's always an interesting read...and a probable point of pings for the agency. use a library computer.

i dunno, but sometimes it seems to me they're more concerned with getting the "good" drugs out of our hands.....i mean, we've all heard so many times about people paying off government agents for help or a blind eye in regards to smuggling, government agents actually distributing cocaine/heroin themselves, etc. etc.

seems like if we use drugs, they only want us to have access to addictive drugs. then they can claim its all bad....blah blah blah.....

who on earth would be more concerned with obscure, nonaddictive psychedelics than cocaine? i dont get it

I do get it. The motivation behind government oppression has nothing at all to do with the public good.

Orwell explained it best. From 1984:

'You understand well enough ~how~ the party maintains
itself in power. Now tell me ~why~ we cling to power. What
is our motive? Why should we want power? Go on, speak,' he
    added as Winston remained silent.
    [...]
Nevertheless Winston did not speak for another moment or
    two.
    [...]
'You are ruling over us for our own good,' he said
feebly. 'You believe that human beings are not fit to govern
    themselves, and therefore -

He started and almost cried out. A pang of pain had shot
through his body. O'Brien had pushed the lever of the dial
    up to thirty-five.

'That was stupid, Winston, stupid!' he said. 'You should
know better than to say a thing like that.'

He pulled the lever back and continued:

'Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is
this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We
are not interested in the good of others; we are interested
solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or
    happiness: only power, pure power.
    What pure power means you
will understand presently. We are different from the
oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing.
All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were
cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian
Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they
never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They
pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized
power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just
round the corner there lay a paradise where human beings
would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that
no one seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.
Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a
dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes
the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The
object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture
is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin
    to understand me?'

if they keep people on addictive drugs, and bust everyone else, then they still have heaps of statistics as to why drug use is bad, as well as heaps of crime stats, and black market rings to claim require more funding.
i mean, its the same force that busts weed as busts cocaine and heroin. imagine if they busted all the cocaine and heroin deals so that there was practically none in the country. what would they say when they need funding? or make out theyre a useful force?

'we need to tackle this cannabis epidemic which has caused.. ??'

the statistics would be miniscule compared to hard drug statistics that they are able to claim to get overall funding and power.

individual cops on the street get paid for finding law breakers. it doesnt really matter which laws htey break, however drug laws are harsh, and therefor considered a better thing to bust than shoplifting or car theft or even assault and violence. so cops like to bust people for illegal stuff (on the whole) because -most- cops are doing their job for money and cops who bust more people are considered better cops. the absolute easiest crime to bust is pot smoking. with hard drugs, a cop risks retaliation, gang threats, mob battles, etc. with weed.. a cop risks some pothead goin 'awww mannnn', and of course probably other verbal abuse but you get the point.

as well as this, addiction is a government FAVOURITE thing. this is why cigarettes are legal, as well as alchohol, and as well as why law enforces the law against weed so much compared to all the serious drugs of dependance. if a person is addicted, then they can not only be controlled indirectly, but their desires are known better, and so their actions can be predicted better, and so there is more power over them.

however, claiming to plan to kill the president, even in jest, would be considered a matter of national security, especially in this day and age, and COULD legally be cause for law enforcement to fuck with you...

if theyDEA busted everyone on this site for drugs you know the million of dollars it would cost and probably half would get off,its not worth there time or money to go through all th trouble of busting someone with a couple grams of weed or 2 hits of acid

O.K., so we all agree, that US authorities read this site (Hi folks, nice to have you with us! I hope you enjoy reading our stupid talks all day long...).
But how about pigs from other countries? Any sign that European law enforcement authorities have their eyes on this site as well?

not to my knowledge, but it's possible.

it doesnt concern most of us here (certainly some of you are in a different boat, including the webmaster!) but i am curious about this point myself.

out of curiosity, is it common practice for your law enforcements to go on the street and try to have an undercover or a snitch sell drugs to someone and then allow police to arrest the customer?

do they use the internet to try and lure people into wanting to have sex with a minor, then arrest them for being pedophiles before they even actually have sex with an underaged person?

these are both things the us government does that lead me to believe its entirely possible (even if improbable) that they could try to bust people in america for drugs online...but if european countries dont do these things, there MAY be less chance that they're any threat to you here....
