Meanwhile, many of the top neocons are endorsing her for president in '08, including Rupert Murdoch of FOX News, who has donated large sums of money to her campaign. Most people who call themselves "conservative" are too dumb to realize she's no different than the current stooge in office, since she answers to the same masters. Most people don't even realize that the Bushes and Clintons are extremely close friends and have been for a very long time.
I do not wholeheartedly disagree. I happen to know a fair amount about the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton dynasties, and perhaps a bit more than the average Canadian since I am still fresh with study. But I do not believe she is dumb or is running on the false guise of what she defines to be her platform of conservatism. I do not favour conservatives, but when it comes to your country's politics I don't have any choice; no variety, and no real selection to choose from amongst the candidates. Your democrats are far-right-from-centre from our conservatives in Canada. There is no Leftist party representation in Congress in your country. Its ideology is just added in like spice to your two parties. Pat Robertson endorses Giuliani. *shrugs* Whoever it was that said that politics makes for strange bedfellows had just no idea. I'm not going to sit here and tell you the celebrities in the public eye or prominent American figures have no influence over your country's politics. If you want to bicker about who is giving money to whom, I suggest looking at Money Track over at PoliticalBase.com It's a nifty gadget that allows you to see contributions to a given candidate (in elections going back decades, no less) based on their locations on a map, even going so far as to provide interesting breakdowns on the basis of celebrity contributions, corporate contributions, and contributions from various metropolitan areas.
And Here are the results when I plugged in "Rupert Murdoch" to the search engine: Link Looks like he donated a grand total of $6,500 to Hillary Clinton's campaign. That's more than the worth of my car, but I wouldn't say it's a large sum overall for someone with his wealth.
As of August of 2007, Murdoch's News Corporation has donated more than $20,000 to Hillary Clinton's campaign. (See Taking Rupert's Cash -- Washington Post 8/3/07.) But besides money, Murdoch has hosted fundraisers for her campaign and has even endorsed her. Rupert Murdoch Loves Hillary Clinton (CBS News 5/9/06) What's in a Murdoch-Clinton Alliance? Something for Both Sides (New York Times 5/10/06) ‘Conservative’ Rupert Murdoch endorses Hillary Clinton It's also quite well-known that Hillary Clinton is good friends with Rupert Murdoch and Fox News president, Roger Ailes, and that the three have had dinner together on numerous occasions.
Exactly. Anyone that wants real change is wasting their vote on her, and virtually all other Repubs and Dems. They're almost all cut out of the same cloth. That's the reason Pon Paul's getting my vote.
well now that i've heard as much water flowing under the bridge and elsewhere since the last time i replied to this thread, ron paul vs hillary IS the one matchup under which i WOULD consider voting for a white male republican. of course it will never happen. ron paul stands about as much chance for the republicans as kussenich and gravel do for the dems. and naturally, the only three with anything new to say are the three least likely. hillary won't be worse then bush two. might even kill a few tens of thousand fewer noncombatant civilians. right now she looks so bought and paid for by the corporatocracy that she seems almost ineveitable to be elected. obama though, he's so much like kennidy was, i just hope he don't go riding around in open top cars, at least until he's been in long enough to have chainged a few things. and we could get something an obama/edwards ticket, or even an obama/kussenich. i think whatever dem gets in, out to pick kussenich or gravel, the same as past repulican tickets have picked their running mates for anti-assassination insurance. although edwards, who probably WILL get picked, would make a good vp too. yah ron paul is the only one the r's have who isn't an obvious cook or a total loonie. whoever does get in, as long as it isn't of the republican other then possibly ron paul, will probably be less loonie then what we've seen for most of this decade. =^^= .../\...
Only puppets of plutocracy get to be president any more. That said thoug, we may at least have the first woman plutocracy pupet or the first black pp. Either way would show some kind of progress at least.
