I've been smokin for about 2 years and lately my heart's been beating really really fast after. the past couple times i was nearly convinced i was about to have a heart-attack. does anyone know why this is happening? or ways to slow it down?
Try not to focus on it too much as you can freak yourself out. Try a different strain and have some mellow tunes on to distract your mind. -B
one of the standard effects of marijuana is a raised heart beat. i think you just havnt noticed it until recently
i agree with stoner bill, your heart is always racing, you probably just never really notice it, or maybe your smoking a more potent strain then normal so the effect is stronger then it usually is. are you getting the same weed you always do?... regardless your fine its just what it does so i wouldnt stress too much
Drink 8 ounces of cold water after you smoke if your heart rate boosts higher than usual. The water will calm you down...but I forget why. My guy used to do it and it worked every time.
I had heard that researchers are looking at the metabolism increase that thc gives for possible application in aiding weight loss. -B
also try not worrying about it. like, listen to the beat, stretch your chest out and feel it. its the tune of your life. instead of thinking of each beat as a strain on your heart, realise that marijuana makes your blood vessels open up, so your heart is beating more often, but easier and with less strain.
Unless you have some kind of heart problem to begin with I wouldn't worry about it. It happens to me a lot when I'm smoking around people. Once I notice it I can't stop focusing on it, and I'm sure the speed seems exaggerated the more I smoke and stress about it. Just try to ignore it. Turn the music up, have something to eat or drink, sit down, and just chill.
