What are your hobbies? Do they cost alot?

Im asking cause im a gearhead, im over 10k in my current motor build and I just bought a neon sxt with 6k miles (13k) as well as a srt4 neon (wrecked) 3k to convert the sxt to the srt4.

But fuck this is alot of time and money, but when I look at what I spend on habbits at least its somthing to show.

partying and shopping are pretty expensive sports. I was hoping to one day get sponsered so I could do them for a living, but then learned that job title is usually 'whore' and no one wants to be a whore :D

All of my hobbies generate more profit... emotional or financial than I spend on them. I get paid once in a while to play some music at some places, so that covers that... I sell a tad of hemp jewerly so that covers that... I publish a bit of my poetry and express my silly soul through it, so that covers that... and then...hmm.. the million other hobbies.... I guess traveling would be the most expensive one... I waste way too much money on it, but I travel cheap... the backpacker life! ...and it's worth it, worth every bloody cent.

Growing up, my mother paid five hundred dollars a month for me to take dance classes (danced 6 days a week, 6 hours a day, for YEARS) and now I'm an instructor so I get paid to do it...

I'm too poor to have an expensive hobby now.

Thinking about it, the ganj has probebly been my most expensive "hobby" this past year, that and ciggs. For you see, I prefer quality over quantity.

Now that I no longer smoke the ganj... I can buy myself stuff like pianos and wireless internet cards!

Cars and snowmobiles have used up many of my hard earned dollars, but I'm addicted to speed and fire breathing machines so I can't help myself. I'm thinking of buying a motorcycle soon too if I can find money I don't have :) I won't even say how much I've spent, not as much as peacekeeper but it's into the thousands for sure...

If I ever become rich I will still be broke but just have faster newer toys :)

my husband's really into working on his cars, and even though he's very reasonable with what he does to them, it does tend to get expensive because he easily gets tempted with the new gadgets and tools that come out.

I'm into knitting, as you probably know, which (because it's trendy right now) is FUCKING expensive. WTF is up with a single ball of yarn being like $9? Not cool when you want to make a sweater or blanket (which needs more than 10 balls) with it! Expensive!

Ah, but I try not to get carried away. This is where Michaels coupons and WalMart comes in handy for me.

The monthly pass for the yoga studio I go to is about a 100 pounds. It sounds expensive but it's very much worth it, especially as I go at least five times a week usually. I also have a gym membership which is 30 pounds a year (in uni) which is great. I can also practice thaiboxing there. And go salsa dancing which I love.

neons.. not matter what year.. just really dont do it for me...

something that would make me gaga would be like a vintage vette.. god just like seeing one on the streets makes me week in the knees.. but I know Ill never own one unfortunately..

I helped my brother rebuild an 86 Ford Mustang convertible I miss it.. all that work just to see it a few months after we sold it.. it was shredded in a junk yard...

newest project is a 1974 Trans Am.. hasnt had much progress had it since 2000 atleast it runs now...

but nothing really beats real horsepower.. thats where I blow most of my money.. I have an addiction for buying horses riding is my life and horses my one true love... you can count on a horse to help you through anything... and nothing makes me feel as free as riding does... figure a good rodeo horse atleast a grand.. nice barrel saddle another grand or so... entry fees for rodeos anywhere from 10-50 dollars a show sometimes more... not too mention trailering and gas and all that... tis an expensive hobby but I love it

I think that any hobby nowadays is expensive.... what sucks is when something becomes trendy, then the prices skyrocket. Sucks muchly.

I spent well over 6K ($12K) on a custom marine aquarium last year. I've been a compulsive hedonist for most of my teens/20's but I've had to give all that up this year since hitting powerseller status on EBay. My old habits don't work with my current business plan. My accountant watches my spending so I can't blow cash on 'extra curricular activities' like I used to.. good god I think I'm growing up :leaving:
