I need to make more friends. This seems to be in my category for meeting some kynd folks who are honest. I can't seem to grow up. I'm the only old person in my work who wears flare jeans (like I use to & missed it) and converse black n white steel toes. It's me, it's who I am. I don't have a pretty doo or wear makeup or flaunt brand names. My best friends are the ones with open arms to hug me hard and tight when they see me. People think I'm stuckup at 1st but I'm just shy and very quiet. I love to sew and am addicted to corduroy. I love to make crafts not many are making... like ribbon fish mobiles and shotgun shell santa ornaments. I don't read much, my memory is absolutely horrid but I love to go to the festivals and dance n dance n dance. I was recently cheated on after 12 yrs. but I don't lose any sleep over it cause I was the real one. He called me a hippie wannabe. My thoughts flow from my fingers on paper or a keyboard. I'd love to chat with some folks who don't mind if I say "I can't remember" but I was there. The 1st Bonnaroo, the 1st 10000 Lakes, the 1st Wakarusa. I hope to meet as many of you as I can. This is the first day of my 51 year old mind and kynd soul's new adventure. I think I'm not alone. I think I am at home!!! Sheila

Thank you to everyone who has so kyndly welcomed me. I hope to make new friends here. Shame on me for saying I don't flaunt brand names and mention Converse. Not even gonna edit it. They're my shoes from the 70's but it's still a horrible thing to mention one thing and try and describe something realizing you've just flat out lied. Please forgive me I wasn't trying to be deceitful. I want to be honest and real not some phony so I truly am sorry. I love u all. I need a hug so I know it's ok to be stupid.

Welcome Sheila...don't worry about it..there's a difference in wearing something you love and flaunting brand names..no big deal. My only thought was.."Hmm,Converse make steel toes"? :)

    Welcome Home:)

Don't sweat not being able to remember. There is a saying among the natives and old timers in the Haight Ashbury, 'If you can remember the Summer of Love you weren't there.' or something along those lines. *L* Those were very fuzzy times for most of us. :) HUGS :)

It is kind of a long story - the whole thing stolen from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, can be found on my journal for anyone to read
