Hello! I'm new here, I want to meet people, I am a bit nervous but would like to talk so please be gentle! [IMG] I have posted many threads on many forums but never on a social forum, usually technical stuff, not good for the soul (if you know what I mean).
I don't have an axe to grind but can be pretty acidic if my mood takes me (apologies in adavance!)
I have smoked pot/weed for years, taken all of the most mainstream chemicals in varying quantities but am now sticking to neat pipes of luverly weed and expensive whiskey!
I don't get out much, except at work where I travel between hospitals across the UK. I want to make up for all the time I've wasted (spiritually) on the net... YEEEHAAA!

Ps. I'm a Linux freak, You have been warned!

Hi Rainbow, nice to meet you :)

As regards my earlier statement on shyness, I have really opened up here.
In just 24 hours I amazed myself by reading loads and posting quite a bit too (even rude stuff!).
Thanks to all of you who created this site and who post in it, it seems like a big playground to me right now.

Hi Lady Nimue, I read your journal, very interestin'!

I'd just like to explain my name: Harry Tuttle
Archibald Tuttle is a freelance heating engineer from the film Brazil by Terry Gilliam. He intercepts calls to Central Services and daringly goes out to repair the heating systems in the dead of night, thereby creating a nuisance of himself as it really messes up their paperwork! (he hates paperwork).
One night he intercepts a 'phone call from Sam Lowrie, a lonely man who works in The Dept. Of Records, a dead-end job (according to his friend Jack Lint). Sam recognises the name "Tuttle" from his work as there is some confusion as to why a Mr. Buttle was picked up by Information Retrieval instead of a Mr. Tuttle (amazing what one little fly can do!). Sam asks if he might know anything about this, to which replies "My good friends call me Harry".
Sam helps "Harry" out by distracting a pair of C.S. heating engineers, who turn up just as he is about to mend the heating system. Archibald rewards him by not charging him for the work he does and then absails off into the night..... so the story continues.
I see myself as a bit of a Tuttle character (mobile service engineer, "get in, get out, a man alone!) but cannot help empathising with Sam Lowrie, he has this dream you see but, as in many a good yarn (1984 for example), the dream is scuppered at every turn. Maybe one day I'll find my Jill Layton.
    Thanks for reading.

I've heard of the movie but have never seen it . That's something I'll have to remedy. Your character sounds very intriguing. We also have a chat room here you should join us.
