I’m a strong believer in the Rewilder way. To me it speaks deeply to the core of who I am spiritually. It makes me feel connected to my Paleo-Pagan ancestors. Rewilder is still a broad term but one that is rooted in the land. If I say I am a Rewilder, people know instantly that I honor Nature. I have been finding my wild spirit in the study of herbalism. You be surprise how wise plants are. "Survivability of the human species depends on human beings once more reconnecting to the Earth. Without this rekindling of our ability to care for the nonhuman world from which we emerged, our behavior as a species will continue to be care-less of the Earth and its preservation. This means that each one of us must learn to "re-inhabit our inter-being with the world" as the rainforest activist John Seed puts it. This re-inhabiting is essential, not an academic or rhetorical pursuit, and always a personal one.” ~ Stephen Harrod Buhner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asw0_DaA85Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zB9HcT0w2w8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzI0xd0QZ8o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCMEdIG_Zqk
the valley in which i live is a micro-climate and blessed with a wide selection of edible and medicinal herbs and plants. we are at 56N and are able to grow wonderful corn, for example. (we are a zone 3-4 in an area of zone 2.) it has been a large part of my path to study, learn with and about local fauna.
Hi Biker Druid! I have seen your posts over on Rewild.info and I believe we have connected way back on Tribe.net. Seem to keep bumping into you online and the only other fellow Druid I have cross paths with who identifies themselves as a Rewilder Druid. ;-)
