I just had to join this forum as I am interested in all things independent! As an owner of an indie label which offers worldwide distribution I have to say that I started out my career as what I call a 'lowly' singer in small and often empty places, and then worked up to more grandiose establishments. But was that enough over the years? noooo! I had to learn how to produce so that I could have a site with music on; and then have more artists join me... and then, well the rest is history.. I love to help independent musicians struggling to make some headway in the music world, and the great thing is, that you get such a buzz knowing that you got some band or artist on iTunes. I think Indie music is more about courage and expression than alot of the major acts. However, I listen to all types of music both major and indie, even though I am only capable of helping independent artists, and that is the beauty of having free choice with the whole music scene.
